Maaaaaaan, this is so underrated ! Even if we forget about the incredible machinery used to make it work there is also the music, as well as the kaizo part at the end. This is simply incredible and you deserve more attention than this. Edit : okay, maybe it isn't kaizo, but I'm bad at mario games so for me everything too hard is kaizo. But you have to agree that part at the end is still very cool
Wow! I've seen all kinds of Mario Maker levels but this is quite amazing. Not only there is music but it actually is a quite good representation of Tetris mechanics. The way you clear the bottom or fail the level if you reach the top are really clever. The POW block combinations are a nice way to display Tetris blocks but I don't think you can do all possible Tetris blocks because of how gravity works. One thing I'm curious about is how those different POW block combinations are made. Are they random or always the same? What an impressing level!
As far as I'm aware, as there exists no real RNG in smm2, they should be predetermined OR it would be an ENORMOUS pain in the ass to randomise them with clown cars. Though apparently making fucking WORKING TETRIS is possible, so what do I know? edit: I take it back, the guy is apparently a wizard.
Thanks for the comments! The combination of POW block depends on when the P-switch is activated. After P-activation, 4 POW blocks are transport into a shuffler (made of conveyor and lift on track), where another lift will pick them up periodically.
My guy did what we all believed to be impossible. Very awesome level, brilliant mechanics, and there is even some Tetris music! What more could a person want?
Using a Zappa Mechakoopa to clear lines. Inspired! Even the music is genius, incorporating the click-click-clicking of the One-Way Wall into the rhythm. Well done!
This is absolutely mind blowing that you were able to accurately recreate Tetris in Mario Maker, probably one of the best and most creative levels I’ve seen
wow this is so impressive, id love a video where you walkthrough all the different mechanisms that make this work, I love the elegance of the buzzy beetles walking across the bottom to signal a line clear, super cool
@@SomindblowingEdits What? You can tell it's Mario Maker 2 from the interface at the end. (there's a cursor, and the style selector and the menu icon aren't at the very top)
Man. I remember playing SMM when I was 6 years old, or 8, and building some crazy stuff. I built a character selection screen, along with a whole bunch of other stuff. Those days were awesome.
I always found it really cool that Коробейники is the theme for Tetris, and to have that play while standing still is actually awesome (most music in levels rely on speed)
using the buzzy beetles to as a checking mechanism to see whether a line was completed or not is so fucking clever, and having them set off the mecha koopa in order to clear the lines is so ingenius too
Woah! This is SO creative my dude! Like, yeah this is just, so underrated, like it had the music even, and that was clever how the buzzy beetles would bounce the Mechakoopa up if the bottom line was full, and then the mechakoopa would zap and destroy the row, dang this is awesome, I when I saw the thumbnail actually at first thought it was a DGR Video, heck! I would definitely play this if I had smm2 lol. Also can you show what happens if you lose, like it reaches the top? Edit: Oh nevermind you actually did
Glad to see that, to this day, Mario Maker 2 is still being pushed to it's limits. Great job! Obviously, it needs to be faster But I do gotta say this, this is the best level I've seen in a while.
There's something really beautiful about this just, absolutely monstrous Rube Goldberg contraption. It's so ugly but in the best way. The slightly off-key music is the cherry on top.
All in all, this was INCREDIBLY well put together! However, I shall point out one flaw! You can't get any of the annoying blank spaces which make each Tetris level more INFURIATING! P.S. I enjoyed you using the Master Sword to hit the music notes that dispense the fireball, instead of any ol' regular item.
It seems pretty difficult to lose since you can't have holes with the pow stacks sadly, but man this is an incredible idea! The implementation is amazing!
