Duo Amabile is excited to collaborate with Ukrainian-American composer Tetyana Ryabchikova. We are presenting here, for the first time, her oeuvre for violin and piano. Tetyana Ryabchikova, composer and pianist, was born in Odessa, Ukraine. She studied piano and composition at the famous Stolyarsky Special Music School for Gifted Children, and later at Odessa State Conservatory, where she received both Bachelors and Masters of Music degrees. In 2001, Ms. Ryabchikova completed the Doctoral program in composition at Boston University and has received a degree of Doctor of Musical Arts. She is a winner of several national competitions, and her orchestral, chamber, and vocal compositions have been performed in Ukraine, Russia, Estonia, and the US. Ms. Ryabchikova has recorded for Sonora Production two CDs including her own works and works written by other Ukrainian composers for piano. She has written pieces that explore a number of styles, from baroque to jazz, but all of them reflect beauty, expressiveness and sincerity of her unique creative voice.
