Hogan to Blake: "That doesn't work for me, brother."

Fantastic show. That was a blast. Always enjoy your Rumble presentation style. Hogan's combination of personality and creative control makes him such a nightmare to book, so in my own 92 save I took a similar approach. I decided to run with the Hogan/Sid match at Mania, so I had Hogan get attacked off-camera backstage (with Brutus Beefcake discovering him), and then come out when we were down to the final three, accuse Sid of being the attacker, and grabbing his arm to pull him over the top rope for the elimination (mirroring the spot from the real Rumble match). In a weird twist of fate, Sid picked up a 1 month shoulder injury during the match, so I sold it as kayfabe being caused by Hogan pulling him out, and kept him off TV for weeks. Meanwhile, Beefcake & Tunney spearheaded an investigation into the attack, while Reverend Slick (who had unofficially ingratiated himself to Sid after he won a preview battle royal on the go-home Superstars) went to Hogan to plead Sid's case, saying he would never do such a thing. That introduced doubt into Hogan's mind, that maybe he hadn't gotten as good a look at his attacker as he'd thought, so he really can't be sure. Of course, this will lead to Sid turning heel with his return from injury (with a bit of teasing beforehand, then finally admitting it when he ditches Slick). Oh, and I too had Flair win the Rumble, although I went with him winning the title. My plan at the time was to do Flair/Savage at Mania, because anything else felt like I was just changing it for the sake of changing it. That is, until Savage offered to put Taker over twice....

Thanks as always for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it. That Hogan/Sid angle sounds awesome. We might have an interesting twist with our Hogan angle, but yours is certainly something that would've been great to see play out in that era. And that Savage offer was huge! The streak continues at WrestleMania haha.

Totally delivered, loved that! I always try to think of ways to get Hogan out of this match (and the title picture) when playing this MOD too.

Always appreciate you watching! I knew putting Hogan in the match would be impossible to work around, so the angle was the best idea to take him out and also have a future storyline to work with.

Liked how you went with the prematch attack on Hogan. Opens up plenty of matches and storylines for Hogan. Maybe you should do a career ending "injury" angle for Kato so he can come back as Paul Diamond without the mask and maybe even a face turn...

Sorry for the late reply since I guess I didn't see this before the hiatus! Getting Hogan out of the match was priority number one haha. And I like the idea for Diamond since I probably won't use Orient Express all that much...

Looking forward to what the plans are for Summerslam. If you plan on running Summerslam in England, you probably want to prepare for it early. For one, most the WWF talent start less over in England than in the States. For some of the lower card talent, there's a pretty big difference. Might help to keep an eye on guys like Bret Hart and make sure they get over enough to do the heavy lifting. Would be a nice touch as well to see another European talent other than Bulldog on the show. If it were me, I'd snap up Chris Adams immediately and give him a solid push on the roster. He starts somewhat over so it shouldn't be too difficult to push him. Plus, Adams is a Judoka, so he comes with a ready-make interesting gimmick. I'd also snap up Doc Dean and Robbie Brookside (The Liverpool Lads). The WWF had a lot of smaller guys in the tag division and both are really solid in the ring and have room to grow. If you want to try to run Wembley, I would set ticket pricing to Free for the Event and increase the show duration to (at least) 3 1/2 Hours to get the most fans. That's your best chance to draw a big number like WWF did. Best of luck.

I know it's been a few months since I took a break, but just want to say thanks for the incredible suggestions! This is great stuff. I've been going back and forth on whether he'll have the popularity to run Wembley and get the numbers we need, but this gives me something to think about. Thanks again!

Yes, it was, but obviously he changed it here, as it's less messy that way than it was in real life.
