The next one is pretty interesting, it goes back to being comedic, but it's like a fever dream where ALL the characters just seem high and say and do things that make zero sense like they're in Wonderland. And it's written and directed by the same guy who wrote the original.

Production on Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 was an absolute nightmare, with the shoot running over-schedule and over-budget, they even fired the director Jeff Burr was fired a week into filming. And they couldn't find anyone else to direct that they had to bring him back. Also Kane Hodder who plays Jason Voorhees was the stunt coordinator and Leatherfaces stunt double.

Viggo's intentionally playing his charac Bi-coded is the highlight of the franchise. Werk.

It’s funny you mention Friday the 13th. Kane Hodder, who plays Leatherface in this installment, is more famously known for his portrayal of Jason Voorhees in part 7-9. It’s generally agreed upon for most that Kane is THE Jason because of what he brought to the character.

I totally understand. This entry is not great, but I used to watch it on. Repeat as a kid! Made a modern trailer for a few years ago, because even though people think the original teaser is iconic, it has nothing to do with the actual movie! 🤣 regardless, another banger reaction from you both!🫶

This movie was infamously ripped apart by the censors, its why all the kills are cut away from and there is a distinct lack of gore. I have the unrated version on DVD that I bought many years ago and it shows alot more of the kills, most notably the sledgehammer kill in the kitchen. The next in the series is really more of a WTF of a horror movie and is best known for having two very surprising actors in he cast and being so bad its good.

First of a current four TCM movies not actually filmed in Texas. This was filmed in California for budget reasons. The last two entries weren't even filmed in the United States.

The MPA, former MPAA, really came down hard on this one. Because Cannon Films released TCM 2 unrated, this supposedly angered the MPA. The film was cut many times to secure an R rating. Even the uncut version of TCM 3 is pretty tame compared to some of the others in the series.

Its different this movie first time watching here. love you guys

To y’all can ignore the Sally part but for me no 😂 I hated how they had her come back in the recent one. No way in hell would she try to kill leather face after what she went through. All she did was run and scream.

The reason why TCM 3 had very little gore was because the film was fighting for its life against the MPAA's censorship, not so fun fact this film was one of the last films to receive an X rating for violence / disturbing content (and films that got that X-rating were far less likely to be released theatrically) before the movie rating system changed from G, PG, PG-13, R, and NC-17 back in the early 90s. Which is a shame, because people had worked hard on some gruesome make you squirm in your seat practical effects that you expect from a Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie, before they were cut out some examples of gore scenes included the audience seeing the meat hooks go through that guy's ankles, and seeing Leatherface actually saw up the one girl who had escaped. Another fun fact is that Benny (Ken Foree) was actually supposed to die, but test audiences loved his character so much they filmmakers actually went and changed the ending so he would live instead. And if you ever watch Friday the 13 part 7 New Blood, the little actress that played Leatherface's daughter in this movie also appears in that movie as a younger version of the main final girl in a flashback sequence. Just a heads up before you watch TCM4, Next Generation is notorious for being "so bad it's good", it's one of those horror movies where you just have to turn your brain off before you watch it, or watch it while you're drinking to make it a little more fun. The Texas Chainsaw franchise always had a loose way with each entry acting like the others didn't exist, then the next doing the same with the one before it. Its a mess, to say the least. Really, only the two Platinum Dunes ones stick in the same continuity. (And I will not be counting Texas Chainsaw 3D or IT'S prequel Leatherface, cause those suck) XD Still awaiting From Dusk Till Dawn, as my personal request. XD Also, this film got butchered by the MPAA to get a R rating (there is a unrated cut) and the ending was reshot for Benny to survive.

This is the most forgettable of the franchise. It doesn’t have the crazy Texas vibe of the first two installments. The only actor I care for here is the survivalist, Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead, Devil’s Rejects, From Beyond and Rob Zombie’s Halloween).
