Finally, I have been SO tired of watching Max Johnson. This kid walked in looking more confident than Johnson ever has, and as a result we were finally able to take advantage of allllll the weapons we have. If you do that if the offensive side, that energy transfers to a defense as potent as this. Frankly, Jaylen Henderson would have beaten Ole Miss and potentially Tennessee and Bama. Missed opportunities is like the soundtrack to A&M football sometimes.
He looked very good, but let's remember that Miss State's defense is very poor. All of their losses save one have been by double digits, though this is far and away their biggest point deficit this season. It will be interesting to see who stays and who leaves after this season (especially since it sounds like Jimbo is out so he's probably not going to bother with recruiting or trying to get players to stay when he leaves)
First, as others have said it was Miss St and their defense sucks. Second if Max had an O line that could keep him off the turf he would have done much better.
@@eustace2c2 If we had an O-line, we might still have Weigmann. I'm convinced the piss-poor O-line is why we haven't been able to go a full season with our starting QB.
HAH! I didn't notice it during the game but at 4:06 looks like Cooper nearly gave a ref a double axe-handle hit celebrating the sack. Think he did manage to tag the man's hand at least.
