The Volunteers rally despite turnovers and injuries to force overtime, but the Aggies prevail in double OT in a thriller. Game played on 10/8/2016. I do not own any of the video or audio in these clips.
I’m a Pitt fan who very randomly as a child decided to also root for Tennessee and Texas A&M. This game was perfection. Two teams I root for from afar, both in the top 10, both undefeated, going into 2OT. Thanks for uploading these highlights!
Yea was a great game... Pitt beat us too this past year...idk when we'll see them again but yalls qb for Pitt ( forgot his name) came to life and killed us in that game
@@GetSoberWithMe yeah, Pickett was unreal last season. Tennessee comes to Pittsburgh week two this upcoming season. I think Pitt’s defense will be really good, but whether the offense can keep up, I guess we’ll see!
Classic game! This was a rollercoaster, and probably the most fun to watch last season in my opinion. But then again almost every UT game last season was highly entertaining/emotional coming from a vols fan lol, but this game specifically was something special. Hats off to A&M. #GBO
I was lucky enough to experience the Kentucky 2018 game, this game, and UCLA 2016 as a student and in the section where the last play occurred. I love Kyle Field.
Just wanted to say thanks for doing highlights that show all the important moments, not just the good plays by the aggies (cough, cough, TAMUHighlights).
Tennessee's first trip to College Station won't ever be forgotten - this is as good as it gets in college football. This also might have been the slowest, longest game I have ever seen, almost 5 hours long. And the overtimes were only around 20 minutes of that. Still though, instant classic all the way. Bravo.
Ya its because so many people were dropping like flies so there were a lot of injury timeouts and there were so many quick explosive plays from both teams so not much time was able to run off the clock. Normally games arent that long but this one was weird
Major props to Kamara. That guy was the difference between a 20-point loss and UT scoring 35. This game was a lot of fun, let's do it again in a few months after we all take care of Bama.
Great job once again man. Love how you do your editing, showing both teams highlights and important plays, with important flags and everything not just highlights. I've been waiting around, checking youtube every 20 mins on sundays for almost 3 years now. Keep up the good work!
which was really just payback hit for the missed targeting hit that caused the fumble earlier. both were targeting and both should have been called. but only one was seen by the officials. we won, gig em and the BTHO bye week
+Austin Hodnett That. Was. Not. Targeting. Did he blindside him to the head? No. He just hit him in the head. Head shots, while cheap, are not illegal. Headshots when the player doesn't see it coming, are.
he just gave that long hair dude a taste of his own medicine in which cullen clearly should a been called fpr targeting on the ko return a few plays back
lmao - that's textbook targeting. Read the rule. Not all helmet to helmet hits are targeting - however this is. Rule states that 'Leading with the “helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area"' is an indicator. There's the defenseless player portion of the rule (which this doesn't apply since he's the ball carrier) and then the other side of the rule which applies here... Making “forcible contact against an opponent with the helmet crown,” or the top of the tackler’s head regardless of whether he's the ball carrier or defenseless. #12 clearly hit #29 with the crown of his helmet directly in the facemask... aka the head or neck area so it pretty much meets 2 different criteria. It was a blown call as you can see him lead with the crown of his helmet into the face at 3:59.
After a 21 point lead and to come back and almost win the game....... Tennessee has nothing to be ashamed of!! A&M would have never got over that, lol.....
One of the best games from that year. Not to take anything away from Texas A&M, but the fact that Tennessee had like what 6 or 7 turnovers and still managed to send the game to OT is absurd. The better team won however.
Has anyone noticed that during SEC matchups the announcers are ALWAYS going for the other team? They don't ever say which team they are actually rooting for, but they low key talk down to a&m while low key praising the other SEC team. Is this because a&m is widely unwanted in the SEC?
I don't know if it's so much that we are unwanted. My buddy and I were just talking about why people hate us Aggies so much. Our school spirit and love for A&M and each other is on a level that most can't understand, so we get hated on. As we like to say, from the outside you can't understand it. Even my mom thinks I'm nuts. I graduated in 93 and she does not understand why I can't let it go.
So does Tennessee highlights. I don't think Texas A&M have highlights of their running back going for a 75 yard touchback. It's biased. The only thing you see is the score go from 21-7 to 35-35. Not to mention Alvin Kamara is the first back to have over 100 yards rushing, receiving , and returning. Chavis is a damn good D coordinator. National Championship w/ Tenneseee and LSU. After Sumlin loses his job maybe we can get him back.
It's amazing to me that so many morons naysayed on A&M joining the SEC. Our program fits in that league like hand in glove. And I will even venture to say that a lot of diehard SEC people have had to admit that we've made the conference better.
@2:16..... is this where the Philadelphia Eagles got their "Philly Special" play that helped win their 1st SuperBowl? Lol either way, both of these were executed perfectly.
A&M had 3 turnovers including one that essentially wiped 7 points off the board and led to 7 points for Tennessee. So....it's not like Tennessee just gave the game away. A&M tried to give it away as well.
Bronson Black it was targeting at the least. Grow of the helmet hit is face mask automatic ejection. But we shouldn't have turned the ball over 40 times.
Woodlands Aggie, love your work, but this one did not come up in search results. I think because 'vs and Tennessee" was bunched together as "vsTennessee". If you separate the vs and Tennessee, it will come up in search results and you'll get a lot more hits.
Should've, could've, would've wah wah wah. If it weren't for 3 missed field goals in 2012 A&M would be playing for an SEC Championship. Mistakes are part of the game dummy.
Uh, no. A&M turned it over 3 times themselves, including a ridiculous strip/touchback at the end of the game. If Williams just slides down at the 2 yard line, the game is over. If A&M's kicker didn't shank a simple FG at the end of regulation, game over.
@@WoodlandsAggie well as I dont have a dog in this fight, I'm gonna agree to disagree. Still think Tennessee should have won that game. Epic game none the less
