As a LSU fan I can relate to what Texas fans are feeling right now. In 09 yall had a chance for another Naty but lost to Bama and haven't had a chance to feel better about it. In 2019 we righted alot of bad memories from 2011. This could be a year to remember if yall continue to play as well as yall did last night. I never thought I'd see bama get pushed around the way the Longhorns D-line mauled the bama front 5. That was amazing...😮
@jcas98jc well to be honest it was like a curse had been lifted. After we lost to Bama in New Orleans for 2011 season National Championship, a year where we had already beaten bama in Tuscaloosa, went undefeated, won the SEC play 7 top 25 teams 4 in the top 10, we got curbed stomped by the Tide 21-0. LSU went on a 8 game losing streak to the Tide. 2012 and 2014 we were ranked top 2 had bama beat in Tiger Stadium only to lose to them in the final plays of the game. LSU never recovered until 2019. It was like the weight of the world was lifted off our shoulders. We win the SEC and then the Naty and I can go to my grave thankful. That was one for the ages...
@spartanswerve7575 agreed but LSU wouldn't of gotten a mulligan like bama did in 2011. That's what made 2019 so epic, like I said it righted alot of wrongs, like the dirty play that knocked Ewers out for a part of the season last year. Perhaps Ewers will have a Burrow type year, he will need to to get to the top. Good luck brother...

Remember it was the loss to Alabama with the injury to Colt McCoy that started Texas slide to mediocracy and Alabama's long almost 20-year run. Would be nice if this is the game that starts a reversal of the two programs. Hook em!!

I went to the Stanford game in Palo Alto years ago. The Bay Area Exes held a fund-raising barbecue on campus. 6000 Horns fans showed up. As we walked through campus, Stanford fans who were tailgating were amazed at our numbers. One said "There's so many of them". Out of 40K fans that night, 8K were wearing burnt orange & were louder than the other 32k. The only bummer was we lost at the end of the game.
I’m old. I think College football is one of the most exciting event during my college years. On game day there is electricity in the air. Beautiful American event, don’t let the left take it away.

It's not a mystery here. And before you say he don't buy them, I know a guy who I went to school with down in Florida that Saban and bama bought a new car for to change his school to bama. And what I meant is year by year since the NIL came out, the rosters of other teams now are matching up and its exposing Saban as a not so good coach.

I’m a huge Texas football fan and this was so cool. Also a reason why I like them is because they have the coolest jerseys in all of college football and the Texas longhorn name is pretty bada$$ to.

Alabama elected to not bring their band in 2022.

Since 2021, the nil is going to be the downfall of Saban. Hes a cheater and has always bought his players. A few more recruiting cycles and bama will be an average team. We'll no actually Saban knows his time in top is done now that all teams can do legally what he's done illegally all along. If Saban can't line up mostly 5 star players against a few 5 stars and mostly 3 and 4 star players, he's a trash coach. Look at what happened to him in the nfl. A losing record in two seasons when rosters are pretty much identical.
