13:16. The official advice on bear attack defense is that if the bear is a black bear, fight it with whatever you have at hand. You may scare it off. However if it's a grizzley bear, play dead because you probably won't be able to scare it off and if it thinks you're dead and isn't hungry at the time it will likely return for a meal when it is. At the least, carry bear spray.

Our favorite NP. Will be going for the third time this fall. Our previous trip there was in July, which everybody warns against, but we found to be a great time to visit if you don't mind getting your hiking in in the early morning and spend the day either in air conditioning or in the Chisos. We felt like we had the whole park to ourselves.

I LOVE the desert trips! Y'all need to go to visit Havasupai Falls in northern AZ near Grand Canyon. Talk about beautiful waterfall in the desert! Even Beyonce' thought it beautiful enough that she shot a music video there! I love your vlogs and Kelly's cooking! Keep em coming!

I really liked this one , and I'm not a fan of the desert at all . But to be fare I've only been to one once when I was a kid and it was really hot , 109 f and almost devoid of life , no catus , no brush , just rocks , I hated it , it was a horrible experience , that I never want to go through again . But I guess , seeing you two happy ( and some plant life ) made this one good .

Cody is a closet geologist. Love the geology lessons in alot of your videos. I suggest you become a closet marine biologist so you can catch more fish. 😂 if you ever find yourself near lake Okeechobee Florida, hit me up. I'll put you on some fish. Fresh or salt. Plenty of large gator sightings. We gotta great KOA in the city of Okeechobee. Awesome restaurants. I have my grandfather's 1957 Crestliner 18 foot boat. True old school experience. Tons of hiking trails in this area. Hit me up.

I know you were talking about how large that park is, just for a reference,I live at the base of the Adirondack mountains in NY, Adirondack Park Is larger than the 5 biggest parks in the Continental U.S. combined , almost 7 million acres.i think you guy's were in my area last year.

Big Bend is such a beautiful and pretty uncrowded place. We stayed in Terralingua but in like a VRBO. When you grow up and live in Arkansas your entire life like my wife and me it's so amazing to be able to see so far. Down in South Arkansas you never see a sunset or sunrise because everywhere you are you are surrounded by tall trees, the only way to see the sky is to look straight up! But at Big Bend you can see forever.

I don't remember if you hiked the Lost Mine trail last time you were in Big Bend.. but I highly recommend it... Some of the best views in the park while it's only like a 5 mile or so round trip... There is a small tree at the very end that was basically made for taking a nap under...

PLEASE!! Get a canister of good bear spray before hiking again! It works on more than just bears and is certainly better than stabbing or punching one! It should be a part of your backpacking kit 100% of the time!! Beautiful views!

Ola mi amigo e mi amiga! U made it to the border! That hike was another excellent! I really liked how dang close u got to those springs and little waterfall coming through the rocks! Did u look for paw prints around that large water hole or would u rather not see in the moment?!? Imagine the sound there if water were coming down that big falls! It looked like it could be a large amount of water at times. Cody, it's great that u r able to have so many 'best days of ur life'! I think u were fishing in Florida the last best day of ur life! Viva Terlingua! BBNP is the best! So many amazing hikes and backcountry 4X4 trails. My favorites are Lost Mine and Pine Canyon. This past year we saw black bear on both trails. Enjoy your time in one of the most beautiful hidden gems on planet earth.

I love Big Bend I have been there several times . Just down the road is Big Bend ranch state park I love it more. If you make it to presidio (a small town south west of Big Bend ) and you like Mexican food try a place called el patio if it's still there. There is also an old fort and an old movie set on the river. And the drive on the river road south from terlingua is beautiful.lots to see on the river. Have fun.

And I am with you on the shower thing....my moto..It aint easy being greasy! We have the same camper so, as you know ,it's an art form to shower well in that small space ...but i do like the outdoor shower inclosure we got to use with the outside shower .We got a better shower flex hose like you both got [thank you for the tip] ,now it works great for boondocking.

You guys are too cool! I love your present set up with the rig and it's amazing now how quickly you start enjoying your campsite. You enthusiasm in infectious and I get excited about adding your campsites to my bucket list. As a van camper I love that in ten to fifteen minutes I am ready to enjoy what God has provided for us in the way of beauty. Big Bend is absolutely gorgeous. One area you might want to check out is Lake Amistad near Del Rio. Great bass fishing there.
