The people who own the house should pay a guy to dress up as Leatherface and run out of the house with a chainsaw everytime a visitor comes. Thats what I would do anyway if I owned the house. It would be part of the tourist attraction, although it would probably scare the shit out of people and some would think its real. I still think it should be done. Id love it. It would add to the experience.

To this day people actually believe that a guy named Thomas Hewitt was Leatherface. The real Leatherface is guy named Ed Gein.

This is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre house from the remake and prequel. The original one was in Round Rock, TX and they took it apart in several sections and moved it to Kingsland, TX in 1998. It is now a restaurant as part of a hotel.

This house is from the Jessica Biel remake. The house from the original movie is in Kingston Tx. The slaughter house used in the remake is right down the road in Taylor Tx. It is named The Taylor Meat Packing Company.

The serial killer Ed Gein (Ed) killed 2 people in the time span of 1954 and 1957. His/her modus operandi was: Exhumed corpses from local graveyards and fashioned trophies and keepsakes from their bones and skin. Mutilated and kept bodies. On November 16, 1957, Plainfield hardware store owner Bernice Worden disappeared, and police had reason to suspect Gein. Worden's son had told investigators that Gein had been in the store the evening before the disappearance, saying he would return the following morning for a gallon of anti-freeze. A sales slip for a gallon of anti-freeze was the last receipt written by Worden on the morning she disappeared. Upon searching Gein's property, investigators discovered Worden's decapitated body in a shed, hung upside down by ropes at her wrists, with a crossbar at her ankles. The torso was "dressed out" like that of a deer. She had been shot with a .22-caliber rifle, and the mutilations performed after death. Searching the house, authorities found a number of items: -Four noses -Whole human bones and fragments -Nine masks of human skin -Bowls made from human skulls -Ten female heads with the tops sawed off -Human skin covering several chair seats -Mary Hogan's head in a paper bag -Bernice Worden's head in a burlap sack -Nine vulvas in a shoe box -Skulls on his bedposts -Organs in the refrigerator -A pair of lips on a draw string for a window-shade

Just wanted to clear everything up, "leather face" is a fictional character. There is no famous serial killer I know of that used a chainsaw and wore their faces and shit. The movie Texas chainsaw massacre the 2003 version, was BASED on ed gein a grave robber that was really fucking weird and made nipple lamps and stuff like that. This movie is 100% fictional and ed gein never killed people with chainsaws and wore their faces and stuff. Also ed gein was from Wisconsin anyway.

A lot of smartasses like to say the movie was actually about Ed Gein but that’s factually incorrect. After Sally Hardesty escaped Thomas Hewitt he changed his name and became a tax preparation specialist.
