I was SO lucky to have seen them when they got back together again back a few years back because after I had first discovered their music in 1996 they had already broken up and they were such a HUGE influence on me and my intro into the indie rock music and my drumming style too. I consider seeing them play live on of my favorite concerts. I can listen to their music over and over and NOT get sick of it. I cannot say that about many bands, only a few have ever made such an impression on me as TITR has. Also, my band used to cover Back and to the Left and every time we played it I would get goosebumps right before because it always was my favorite song. Long live TITR for generations to discover
This entire show was incredible, and their set was the highlight of the event, save only for “Found You” that closed out the show - Sense Field fronted by Garrett. Sad occasion, great show. Jon Bunch Forever.
This is just perfect. I'm such a huge Texas is the reason fan, their album has shaped my taste in music through my teenage years. I've never seen them live and this is probably as close as I'll ever get to it!
@@hnardi Im legitimately jealous! They sound so good, almost like studio. It seems like such a waste of a great band that they've disbanded after 1 album but then again maybe it was for the best and it was heir peak.
What's sad is that the crowd was louder for TITR than the star-studded Sense Field tribute. Don't get me wrong, they are amazing and deserve reverence, but it kind of shows how SF is underappreciated even in their memorial show 😌
This couldn't be better for me - I acquired SF's self-titled album and the TITR EP with the first track on it simultaneously back in the day and the two bands have always been intertwined in my mind.
