It seems like a foregone conclusion that Quinn is leaving for the NFL after this year. Has there been any consideration with him coming back for a JR season and what would that do to our QB room?
@@drewby_doobie_doo I can't say "experience" because Murphy hasn't played in a college game yet. Murphy stayed and has more time in the OFFENSE SYSTEM. He has more time at Texas and has been in hostile environments. 🤷♂️ I like Murphy's chances is all.
I doubt we see Arch this year unless both ahead of him are injured, but next year will be different. It will be a battle, and Malik may win it out, but he will only get 1 year as starter if so…Manning came to PLAY, not be a backup until his senior year!
@@collegebro85 true. I don't want Manning to be put into a Card situation. If Ewers decides to stay another year (2025) and get that SEC experience then I see Murphy transferring out. I never imagined Texas having this kind of problem but it's great.🤘
Even if Maalik wins the job next season Manning would still have 2 more season’s+ Only takes 1 season to get drafted. I think all our QBs trust Sarks system.
I know UT fans (myself included) became infatuated with the idea of Quinn winning us a BigXII title & Arch ushering us into the SEC era. But with Arch (hopefully) redshirting, the expectation to start as a redshirt freshman 2024 shouldn't be that much more pressure to just give him the keys. If Malik stays & looks better, then he's the guy. & if Arch is ready then that's great news as well & I wish Malik the best of luck wherever he goes. Either way, Texas has a GREAT "problem" on their hands next season.
Hopefully, Ja'Tavion Sanders takes the next step and becomes best TE, in nation. Which isn't out of the question and with Paul Chryst as an offensive analyst, could get him there. Texas becomes TE-U again, along with CB-U, back in the Mack Brown days..
@@lemerkin3633 he’s a good Qb though. Imagine if somebody slightly worse than him would’ve started last year. We probably lose 3 more games than we did
Yeah third isn’t completely true no punch pulling guy lol Yeah WRs didn’t help out either play 4 underclassmen on the Oline with 3 freshman. I could go on and fans seriously need to get to know football bc Eric schooled him too. Move around
Nobody with a brain thinks Arch is going to do anything other than redshirt and take his time. That was likely the number one reason he went to Texas, to not play early.
Quinn is gone after this year either to transfer or declare for the NFL. The kid ONLY cares about $$ much like Manziel, and that will doom him overall! Bigger question is WHEN Sark gets fired after this year, what happens then??
@losttiming5873 Not for NIL, but the money they put out for recruiting him to UT. The university went all out to get him to sign, understandably. I like MM a lot, but I don't see him starting. Of course I could be wrong.
Thats a dumb take, Arch has no reason or desire to start early. He is rich already and the Mannings are an NFL family first and foremost. He is at Texas to mature and prepare with no pressure for the NFL. He only needs one or two good seasons before he goes to the draft. Murphy will have his chance this year or next and if he balls out, he'll either be gone to the NFL just as Arch wants to start or for one more year.
