Washington fan here. I think this one is about who starts faster. I don’t like UW playing from behind at all. They can handle a third/fourth quarter rally like they did against Oregon, but they need to play in front. I actually think it’s a similar situation for Texas. Either team should take the ball if they win the coin toss. I predict high scoring but not ridiculously so, I’d hesitantly take Washington 36 Texas 30 but could go either way
Both teams very talented and no surprise if either wins...so help me understand, if Washington plays similar to what OK did in their win against Texas was that a fluke or a blueprint? Sark is a good coach but Deboer is next level comparing their respective coaching histories. Because both teams have better offenses then defenses, and are very close when accounting for injuries over the season and player availability for this game, it will come down to coaching and game management. Until Deboer loses against Sark( and he is coaching for a mega contract at end of season), its Washington +7.
Husky fan here. First half of the season Washington's run defense was below average due mostly to sloppy tackling, not good at all. However after the first Oregon game it just got better and better. Are they an elite defense? No but much better then those numbers you throw out for the whole season. To defeat Washington you're going to have to disrupt Pennix plain and simple. Also Washington Unpredictably decides to go run heavy at any time.
