There is a lot of hype, there is a lot of positive news, and everything sounds exciting. I think the fans are chomping at the bit to make a lot of these athletes official. I dont remember recruiting hype or the amount of quality info quite like we have had this year, it will be really interesting to evaluate and grade after this class is signed sealed and delivered. They are doing great in so many areas it's hard to really get nervous about the one or two holes that may develop. Especially with their proven track record at transfer portal
Yes, OVs and ITOTF has me believing we close on some top guys to round out a top 10 or top 5 recruiting class. Sark & Company has earned the benefit of the doubt after 2 consecutive top 5 classes.
I think SARK & COMPANY have done a FANTASTIC job RECRUITING since arriving at TEXAS. THIS class will finish as well as the last two, MAYBE BETTER. I LOVE that they take their time and FINISH STRONG. HOOK'EM!
1. Texas might need Dominic McKinley more than any other 2024 Recruit, next to Colin Simmons. 2. In 2025 if the Longhorns could have an interior of Sydir Mitchell at Nose Tackle and McKinley and Jaray Bledsoe at Defensive Tackle, with Anthony Hill, Smash Burrell, and Lion Lefau playing Middle Linebacker, Simmons, Derion Gullette, and Tausili Akana playing Rush Defensive End, Justice Finkley, Ethan Burke, and Colton Vasek playing Strong Defensive End, Derek Williams, Terrance Brooks, and hopefully Corian Gipson at Safety, Malik Muhammad and hopefully Kobe Black and Selman Bridges at Corner, and perhaps Wardell Mack and Jaylon Guilbeau at Nickel, Texas could have the best defense in the nation. 3. The Longhorns on paper are good enough to win the Big 12 as they leave the conference. On paper they are good enough to compete for the SEC title as they enter the SEC next season. In my mind, they should be good enough to win the SEC in 2025. "Hook Em"
@@Mark-zx2bq Colin Simmons and Zina Umeozulu or Danny Okoye would be a great duo. I doubt that Texas would get all three of them, but it would be absolutely amazing if they could.
Yeah but there’s some options at DT that are just as important. That will be huge win for McKinley but Alex and Robinson are mine. Alex is my must get with Simmons to create more of that DFW and Duncanville to Texas pipeline. The DFW area we have suffered and this staff is actually making dents in that region
I love JJ Rubell and one of the most underrated players fans don’t talk about. He’s also friends with a lot of players. I think his coach also said he could be the best player on the team. Gerry compares him as being underrated for the same reason Catalon was coming out of high school. Not saying he is Catalon but seriously the prerequisites team use for size doesn’t stop this young man. Let’s freakin go!!!

Black and Simmons seem to want to play together and I don’t think it’s for attention. They want to create that pass rush DB disruption connection. It’s not the only factor of course but it’s definitely a factor. LFG!!!
