Wyoming fan here. Very thorough, objective and comprehensive analysis. I appreciate the respect shown to my pokes. Wish I was in Austin for Saturday night's game. Thanks texas homer
I stayed up and watched that entire Wyoming vs Tech game rooting for them to pull off the comeback. Mostly, because I hate Tech, but also because I want Texas to run the table as the entire Big 12 burns on our way out. That being said, my biggest takeaway was that their QB was straight up cast iron tough. Dude looked like he got drug behind a truck, and just kept getting up and playing on. I’m absolutely rooting for my alma mater Texas to win, but much respect to Wyoming and Peasley for that kind of toughness
Homer, two years ago, one of your videos was about Sark being hired at Texas, and how this time, it would be different for him. That's the first thing I thought about after Texas won Saturday, and I don't think this team will have a hangover...(knocking on wood.) I love how you and the rest of the Texas content creators stay grounded about this team. Your content is awesome!! Hookem!!
He hardly even played against Bama. As a Wyoming fan, i am really hoping he has a great career there (after the Wyoming game of course). He was our best offensive player by far even as a freshman
They are now officially the target team in the Big 12, every coach and player will be going hard against TEXAS. So as hard as they practiced for the Bama game they now have to practice stronger, smarter and with a sense of purpose to win the rest of the games. Thanks to everybody involved with the football team. HOOK'EM every week from now on.
I don’t remember the exact year, but Texas actually played Wyoming in Laramie. The Horns were 31 point favorites. I told all my betting friends to put money on the Cowboys because I could not see Texas, having to play at over 7000 ft above sea level, scoring that many more points than Wyoming. And I was right. The Horns won by 30.
One note that no analyst has mentioned on Wyo QB numbers...he was removed for entire 4th qtr vs. Portland State. Pass game was blazing hot and i think coach let up. Bohl is simply not a blowout type coach. If we see blowouts its only on run game or defensive TD's. So take that PSU score a bit lightly. UW could have hammered them harder.
I think Bohl wanted to protect Peasley in that case, which is reasonable. But I was really ticked they didn't run normal stuff and let Svoboda throw something easy at least. So frustrating! I think UW could have kept throwing the ball and whipped PSU bad. But I think they were trying to work out run game reps and possibly concealing some things for the TX game...at least I hope...pull out all the stops, use a little deception to keep them off balance...please!
Texas can put their foot in the middle and handle business and God bless Texas Longhorns today against Wyomi Texas Longhorns go all the way like you did with Alabama
As a Wyoming fan, I appreciate the insight. It's going to be weird seeing us play a Top 4 team. The Wyoming fan in me says we beat Texas by 700 but the realist in me sees us lucky to score 10 points. But, if the game plays in our favor you can expect a low scoring game and knowing the hard-nosed mentality my team has I will still hold on to the hope of "any given Saturday"
Wyoming has a Quarterback "with that dog in him." That is definitely good for Wyoming. Texas has a defense with about 20 players with even more dog in them. "Hook Em"
Since Sark won't keep good RBs, I think Texas' run-game (without good consistent run-blocking) will be matched with Wyoming. We'll see if Texas' pass blocking stands up, albeit against one of the worst pass-running lines in football. This should be an easy win but I have faith in Sark - he'll make it tight or even design a loss.
If we take care of business, this should be a game that the 2s and 3s get a whole lot of playing time and we should still be able to win relatively easily
Haha got my words mixed up. So many different numbers when I’m doing voice over. Last year I said a receiver had 2.10 100 meter time instead of 10.2 haha
Keep in mind, that power 5 win was against Texas Tech, a team notorious for choking on the road and has a 13 year tradition of mediocrity. UT will destroy Wyoming: 55 - 10
