@tubevideoguy762 Not sure, the engine is 110 hp. I think I had the pedal on the floor going downhill and was only just over 80, I only tried that once though.
@AnotherNutJob - I say that all rural highways should go to 'reasonable and prudent' with a recommended speed set at say anywhere between 80 and 90 MPH!
@Geforce2187 my best guess is that it was only about 75% gas pedal and you didnt give it enough time to accelerate but i do know the top speed of an '09 accent is listed as 110 mph
I just tested my driving for about 20 seconds@ 85 mph on divided US Hwy 54 in New Mexico about 35 miles north of El Paso. I think 85 is a little too fast. I'm more comfortable @ 80 mph. Texas should retain the speed limit at 80 on I-10/I-20. And the truck limit I believe should remain @70, it might as well, trucks can only go 67-73 anyway with the trucks' engine governor.
