Newly obtained court documents show Gateway Church, based in Southlake, has recently settled multiple lawsuits. One includes allegations of child sexual assault by a member of the church.
Because not all churches have sexual predators in them. Do you stop going to the grocery store or the mall because there are predators present? Do you stop going to the doctors because there have been reports of doctors overstepping their boundaries and sexually assaulting their patients? I venture to say no, you likely still go to all of those places because NOT EVERY doctors office, grocery store or mall is the same. 🙏🏽 My heart and prayers go out to any child who is taken advantage of anywhere. 😢
@@sarinaduvall07 a grocery store and a doctors office is essential - A church is Not. I can have (church) in my back yard or in my home anytime I want. And no one goes to a mall anymore, there aren’t any left.
What? There are sinners in a church? That doesn’t mean everyone there is a sinner…oh wait…yes it does. A pedofile in a church, among thousands of people, doesn’t mean the whole church is full of pediphiles. .. you people will find any reason to justify not going to church. “THERE ARE SINNERS THERE AND IM NOT HONNA BE ATOUND SINNERS…give me a break. Yet for almost 200 years the "church" has been saying that if you have a terminal illness it is because of something you did against god and are now being punished. Doesn't matter what the scripture actually says, man will always use it for his own purposes.

Gateway has strict child abuse policies that include mandatory training and background checks for volunteers to go through. Anyone who did these things either was not in a leadership role or they intentionally broke the policy.
I'm sure they now have those trainings and background checks in place now that they are under a microscope. Robert Morris was in a leadership role (he founded and pastored Gateway Church) at the time he sexually assaulted girl. And there were more victims, I am sure. And it would not surprise me one iota if the elders were in on some of those activities as well.
Not sure what that means, organizations have had just as many scandals and though a church might be planted by an individual they have a corporate structure that has elders, trustees and or directors. One must put their trust only in Jesus Christ and be careful not to lift man to a high level. Jesus showed humility in his service to all men and though made famous by His mighty acts always walked in lowliness and meekness. These two qualities show men a path to integrity. Though Jesus was God He was also man who was tempted but never sinned. What a model!
@@sveabryan9126 He did, but what he said has been refuted. He claimed that Robert didn’t work for him during this time and then Dee from Wartberg provided receipts and newspaper clippings saying otherwise.
These cases can no longer just be swept under the rug. A report must go directly to police. The policy should be so strict that anyone who avoids exposing the case needs to also be charged with hiding it from police. ( Why are they not in the position to be “mandatory reporters” who must go to the police with a crime?) It seems like a little cash for the persons sexual assault and molestation is “solving” these cases, yet the perpetrator is still assaulting children and teens within the church. Jesus says of these little ones, “ their angels are always facing the Father.” Jesus says, “it would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone around your neck and die rather than cause one of His little ones to sin.” God is exposing major sin in the church. Just in the last few months big teachers in the church have fallen due to sexual issues: TD Jake’s, Tony Evens, JP Miller, Robert Morris and a few years ago Ravi. Robert molested a 12 year old who is now 45. When she asked for $50,000 to cover counseling Robert and his attorney came back saying $25,000 and a non disclosure agreement- she said no. At that time he told a close friend that this young lady was trying to extort $2 million dollars from him which was a lie. He is worth 120 million dollars! He and his attorney came back saying she was very flirtatious- as if she came after him. Robert convinced his wife that the “young lady” was the aggressor. This “young woman” was actually 12 and not 20 like him- he was married while he was doing this. He got caught and has been telling people lies about, this “ young lady.” He said he stepped out of ministry for 2 full years for healing which he did not do. He also told people that the young ladies father had given him the ok to return to ministry which was a lie. God is not mocked. It is only by God’s grace that God is exposing these pastors and not just letting them die in their sins which would send them to hell for all eternity. Robert got caught in lies and now the real truth is coming out. God heard Cindy’s cry for help. He does not leave us or abandon us. It is all in His time and now is the time of exposure. The Lord is also coming to bring judgment on political leaders who have sold out the US for money. Keep your eyes on all these issues. I recommend a RU-vid person named Troy Black he does a great job with prophetic words. It helps to know how to pray for issues. If you have ever suffered abuse/ sexual violation- God hears your heart cry. It says in the Old Testament that he holds all your tears in a bottle. You have a purpose in this life. Keep Jesus first.
She did this with other men. That's why her parents told people not to make it public. Cindy confessed her bad conduct to Glenda Faulkner which Glenda agreed to testify. Sadly she passed away a year or so ago
Shame on the Gateway Pastors for not reporting that assault to the police. They are mandated by the law to report it. Not just discuss it between themselves and then badmouth the Mom. The Gateway Elders and Robert Morris treat these victims with such disdain. They don’t want Gateway’s reputation to be tarnished. Who cares about the victims! And they call themselves men of God! Disgusting!

@@robinmeier430 Because there were 5 Gateway Pastors talking about it when they found out! And they visited the offender and his parents. And not only did they sit around and talk about it, they didn’t notify the police! As they are mandated to do. All of the information is in the lawsuit.

Yes, the spiritually, mentally, emotionally abusive manipulative mega churches...people should run when a man is set up as a king & surrounded by loyal yes men involved w/cover ups cuz they reap benefits from being in the inner circle. It's sickening really & boy do we serve a patient God.
That's what it's all about they want to know how much money they can make off of them it happened 30 plus years ago he already apologized to her he already apologized to her parents Robert Mosley move himself to church for 2 years him and his wife went to counseling and now listen oh I need some money I want money I have no sympathy for that woman

Gateway church is very big . The people involved in the abuse are not really associated with the church . Come on . Don’t blame the church which is doing good for the nation

Then how do you explain his confession to the assault? And riddle me this: If Robert Morris is innocent, how do you explain his lawyer alleging that the victim, a 12 year old girl, mind you, seduced Morris into assaulting her?

They are secondary victims and just through it was adultery. Only Robert Morris and his narcissistic wife knew the truth and maybe a few others Cindy reached out too.
I don´t think Pastor should go to Jail ,but i do think he needs to pay some kind of restitution to Gateway for giving it such a tarnished reputation . It is reasons like this that many people stopped attending churches.
did it happen last week ? last year? No it happened more than 30 years ago ,and if nothing was done at that time then sorry for the girl and her parents . We can´t simply bring something up from the past and drag it through the mud . Everything has it´s time . However the Pastor should pay some kind of penalty for his dishonesty and making the church look bad in the public´s eye.

Criminals are just that criminals; and trying to dismiss this because it happened in the past does not make it any less true, and still a crime. Morris is exactly who and what everyone knows he is and he should be held accountable. Along with anyone else who knowingly and willingly kept his secret and did nothing to help the victim.
speaking strictly from a legal standpoint there isn´t much you can do because it happened in the 80s . However Pastors such as Morris are always going to be there lurking in the background so yes he needs to be held accountable for his actions not only to the church ,but also to the community who trusted in him . However legally accountable probably nothing much will come of it.
