Private . But there is public land in texas but not up that way.

Ive used a bow only place down by lake whitney and the grass lands. Just google it and it pops up. Yes private land you will have to pay an outfitter etc to hunt but if you dont have the means to own or lease thats the only way. @@worldobserver3515
