Wow i saw the bacon up you used in your recipe..i never knew one could buy bacon grease. I went to walmart site and low and behold the walmart where i live had it which is surprising. Put it on my grocery list right away. Going to try your recipe for the beans and rice but no hot peppers for me. Thanks for sharing your video 😃
We add bacon,green pepper,onion,rice,seasonings! We call it Spanish Rice in the Mid West! Corn bread always on the side ,Thanks! Can forget fresh garlic !

Talli Faye I wish I could reach into my TV and grab that Texas Red Rice from you!!!😄 It looks so good but I know it's hot, hot, hot with that seeded jalapeno in it but it's Texas after all and we do love spicy! I think that most people have never tasted Slovacek's sausage which is really good, it's not being sold everywhere and when we still used to live in Bryan, I went several times to their store in Caldwell and also brought home some yummy Kolaches. I make a skillet version of that dish, using instant brown rice in it. I do everything the same as you did, (using a can of chopped green chiles instead of jalapeno), then add my Ro*Tel and tomato sauce, plus my instant rice and enough water to "cook" the rice. Cover and let it simmer. Sometimes I add a can of blackeyed peas for "Texas Rice & Peas"; sometimes we have some pinto beans on the side. We love it either way.
Been binge watching you Talli Faye and I've come to the conclusion your not big on garlic. Me I love all your cooking but I would add garlic. You and Buzz are gonna be eaten on that for a couple of days. Yum!

You cld even add stewed tomatoes instead of Rotel to your Italian sausage or chunky spaghetti sauce. The sky’s the limit 😜👌🏻👩🍳😋 I have a habit of making a Lot of recipes with Rotel. I Love spicy flavor 😋👩🍳👌🏻🥘

They had cornbread and it was so good i asked them how they made it and they told me it was a secret. I put my thinking cap on and im pretty sure they added just a little bit of yellow cake mix to it.. it was great. just sharing like you do!
I am not a very good rice cook for some reason I mess it up my instant pot has a rice setting but I never tried to use it. Do you use instant rice of the longer cooking rice. I love rice but I just can’t seem to get it right
I would probably prefer the whole grain rice in this dish but I still bet you wouldn’t be disappointed using the instant if you’re more comfortable with it… just do everything else the same… maybe make your instant rice with a tad more water than usual
I was looking over some of your videos and found the steak sandwich crunch ones and you had onion rings with them and I thought you said you were going to show how to make them but you didn’t I tried to find another video we’re u did but I guess I either missed it or you did not do one
