I've had problems with hand numbness as well. First I shortened the stem from a 100mm to a 45mm (cross country hardtail), which helped. Then added Renthal bars with a 40mm rise and that helped as well but didn't eliminate it. Then I cut the bars down to about 700mm (super tight trails where I ride) to bring my hands together and get me leaned back more at the waist which helped as well. But the straw that broke the camel's back was adding the Ergon GA2 Fat grips, which have completely eliminated all hand numbness while riding. Maybe one of these tricks will help you out, cheers 🍻
That's quite the journey, but it has to happen if we want to fix the problem. I am going to try the PNW Components Grips eventually (probably when we get back or next paycheck). I've been running ODI's for so long I think I'm just doing it because I've always done it. As I did with flats again, I just need to try new parts and see how I like it. If I don't, hand them off to someone and keep trying new parts.
