Excellent comment Mike at the end when you say even if you do overcook it it turns into pulled pork! These pork steaks looked amazing. Just to let you know I have learned a ton from you On offset cooking and I very much appreciate that! Excellent job brother.
Hi fellow Texan. Suggested from Sheena. Nice to meet you and enjoyed the video. Had no idea how to stack the wood. I dont BBQ but I do have a friend that that has a grill and a smoker and she is learning how to use it. Im defiantly going to share your videos with her. New sub friend
Those looked great Mike. Just made one a couple days ago on a kamado pretty much the same way, I didn't get that type of bark though. Good stuff, thanks!
I can't believe you shared the secret to the PERFECT TEXAS smoked protein rubbing butter with your barehands! This Video is going to take off!!! Great Cook Brother MIKE!
Another great video Mike - 2 inch is the way to go - grocery store by my house will break out the band saw and cut the shoulder for me - can usually get 4 to 5 steaks per shoulder - videos have been spot on - you see the Butterfinger Brisket on Outnumbered’s channel - thinking that might be good on a pork shoulder as well - Ted
Yo Mike! I've only made pork steaks once and they were great but mine were only 3/4 of an inch thick. I'm going to have to look for those thicker cuts of pork steak or else cut them myself. Cheers! I enjoyed the video!
I'm still playing with my mics, shotgun is not consistent with volume do to being away from camera. I use laviler mics. Thanks for watching I'll get better at it!!
