Ossai has been the only consistent performer on the D for the past two seasons. Has the all the talent but never lets his effort drop no matter the score. He and Sam are doing their best to keep Tom Herman and Chris Ash employed lol.

@@scott1564 yep. The sad thing is that even tho our defense gave up 41 points, it’s not their fault because the offense kept turning the ball over inside the 30 yard line. Special teams and offense of OSU just threw the game away with turnovers and costly mistakes.
Not to be a dick but Texas D allowed us over 500 yards. We turned the ball over on stupid handoff fumbles 3 times. If that didn’t happen we could of had 700 yards on offense.

I think our problem is(Texas) we get too much hype before the season and when that happens we tend to try to hard to live up to expectations which causes us to lose. When we are just playing freely and without stress it's when we show up. As you can see we were unranked and the underdogs in this game and we showed up.
As an OSU fan this one absolutely stings. Outgained Texas 530-280 and still lost. Sanders can be the best player on the field at times but dang his inability to hold on to the ball really hurt us

What a game for the longhorns tonight and that defense stepped up in a huge way. Forcing 4 turnovers and giving Sam Ellinger a chance to win the game at OT was pretty special. Im telling you guys don't sleep on the Longhorns this year because Sam Ellinger has something to prove this year and dare I say it that he could be in line for the Heisman this year. Ellinger might be going to the NFL next year if he chooses to do so
Honestly don’t know how we didn’t get blown out... gave Texas 4 turnovers and also got a hitting the kicker penalty on 4th and 22. Anyone could of beat us. We gave them a million chances. Either way Texas vs OSU is always the best game of the season.
@chrharmar I agree, Texas has an unmatched legacy in Texas. I actually love UT. I’m from Austin and did my undergrad at UT, but my heart is with A&M where I did my masters. Had no money during undergrad and had to live with my folks, so A&M was my first stint on my own.
I think everyone, even Longhorn fans too will agree. The Cowboys beat themselves in that game. Texas had 3 fumbles an kick return and a interception. That was just Oklahoma States mistakes. Texas won because Oklahoma State gave it to them. I think everyone can agree.
Texas was so lucky is this game. Oklahoma state looked like they were trying to give it to them on a platter with all those turnovers. Ossai is the only decent player they have on their defense which is full of 4 and 5 star busts. Good new is this may save Tom Herman’s jobs so that the Longhorns can keep being a middle of the road team going nowhere.

Also, just because the big 12 is prob out of the CFP doesn’t matter. Actually, it makes things more fun. All of the rest of the conferences are being dominated by one or two schools. While we have 5 schools that are competing for a shot at the big 12 chip at the same time. This is rare. As a Texas fan. I’m just hoping we actually win the rest of our games like we are supposed to. If that’s the case, we will probably face Oklahoma, OSU, or Iowa state in the championship game due to the fact those are the other strong teams. K state isn’t going to do anything since they lost Thompson. West Virginia still has a chance, but they still have to face us and OU. Anyway, game on Big 12!
where is this kind of play defensively from Texas every week? Their offense did not play well, and it is SOOOOO frustrating to watch them struggle against really weak opponents when they have so much talent.
They gave up 3 points most of last week, forced 3 TO’s vs OU, had like 4 red zone field goals forced against TCU and in their horrible performance against Tech still forced 3 TO’s

I have a feeling Oklahoma is going to win out the rest of the season at the rate they are going. Bedlam should be a good game though. I had a feeling OSU was ranked a little too high... They haven't really played anybody who's all that good.
My prediction is OU and Texas will win out the season and OSU, KState, and ISU will lose 1-2 more. KState and ISU really aren't very good, their season stats and scores are pretty weak. They just happened to get lucky and pull off wins against OU in the early season, back when OU didn't have Stevenson and Perkins.
Man we really should be in contention for the National Ship but those two L's put us out .smh .im hopeing we just grow from here on. I hope we dont take a step back next season.
