Texas West and Louisiana played in the opening round of the Southwest Region in the 2022 Little League World Series.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.
If you’re looking for a place that can educate you with commentary on top of high quality edits, this is the place for you! I’ve covered Baseball (MLB, NCAA, LLWS), Football (NFL, NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), Softball (NCAA), and much more!
I make my videos on the HP Spectre x360. I use Adobe Premiere Rush to edit, which allows me to commentate and efficiently splice up clips in a high quality way.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

I started watching LLWS since 2015 and the competition isn’t the same the kids aren’t as good as the kids that played in 2016,2017,2018and so on they are missing routine ground outs , bobbling balls , The Only good player there was the catcher for Louisiana

Well the age change changed LL forever. No more 13’s playing like there were in 2015, ‘16, ‘17, ‘18. Totally different game now. You are lucky to see one pitcher per team throwing 70 when in passed years every good team would have several throwing that hard. Game has turned into small ball with the crappy USA bats too. No more “travel league” bats allowed like the years you started watching too.

I always enjoyed watching LLWS, sad seeing the skill get worse and worse each year. Completely understandable though parents are realizing that LL isn’t a good way to develop a player for the next level and that travel is the way to go. i think the best 11 YO team from travel would smoke a team full of 13 year olds from LLWS.

Sadly, when it comes to % of player making the bigs... it's doesn't matter which path you take.. it's about the same. The reality is.. travel ball is way more expensive, and has a tendency to burn players out long before they get to HS ball... that is sad... but it happens in all sports.. the expense often will keep kids from even having the option. At the younger levels.. I think LL is the way to go.. but by the time you reach 12/13.. yeah, if you can go travel ball route.. many think getting the kids started earlier on the full ruleset is better.. but I've seen way to many players so focus on the runners off base they can't throw strikes.. they become the jack of all trades, master of none.. once you get to 12/13.. the rules don't differ enough to matter.. that's when the repetition they get in travel ball makes a bigger difference
@jaysantos536

@@ronpeacock9939 Very well reasoned and sounds like you have a lot of experience. I was already 50 yrs old by the time my son starting playing baseball so I'm "OLD school) and though LL was the way to go. (In fact I took him to Waco (where this game was played) in 2008 to watch a couple games on 106 degree heat!) He LOVED the game from Day 1 and inherited some ability as my uncle was drafted and in the 40s and was a Double AA all-tar and still holds some Michigan high school pitching records and my Dad and I played a little college ball. By the time he was 10 and playing local ball in a league better than LL, the "travel coaches" started coming after him. Luckily enough of his buddies and their coach was also interested in going this route. It worked out really well for him because he was a hard worker and simply loved the sport so he didnt get burned out. His favorite player from his first game in 2006 was always Dustin Pedroia as he was not as gifted physically but made up for it in every other way. My son's "career" ended earlier this year as he wound up his senior season at a Div 3 college in Texas where he was an All-Conference Pitcher his junior and senior years. And he actually got to sign a Minor League contract and play two games for the Lexington Legends this summer, what a thrill that was!

@@jaysantos536 I started working with LL about 20 years ago when my kids started playing. I got pulled into coaching my daughters team, then umpiring because we were short of those too.. later pulled into the board because someone has to. I never saw travel ball back then, it really wasn't available in our area.. then I lost my job and we moved across country.. Well, my kids were at breaks in LL levels and decided not to move on, I started working LL in the new state as an umpire. That where I found out what travel ball was. I ended up doing a few Triple crown tourneys and I hated doing the younger kids... unlike LL, they allow lead-offs (we call it loose bases) and pickoffs and played "real Baseball" (their words not mine)... NO THEY DID NOT.. the pitchers seemed ok..until they got a baserunner.. then they were so worried about that runner that they couldn't throw a strike to save their lives, and the catchers didn't have the arms to throw the runners out.. so it became a merry-go-round until a throw would find it's way to the OF and he scored.. suddenly the kid could pitch again once the bases were empty... Once you get to the LL Intermediate level... they all play the same rules.. are in the same age groups... and the catchers have the arms to actually throw out a basestealer. I've worked now tons of LL from Minors to Sr. league, (state championships in Jrs and Srs, regional in Intermediate).. and I, now having moved to Phoenix area where I've been now introduced to USSSA... as well as I've been doing HS ball for a while in there.. I quit doing baseball for softball because the leagues abused me in baseball. Softball they don't abuse the umps... and I can tell you, LL gets more players due to the $$$$ side... ($5kand up for travel ball for 1 season). but often the kids that you see starring in 9U or LL Minors... are the bench warmers or gone when they reach the Sr. division or 16U levels... either another sport has grabbed them, or often is simply puberty was not as nice to them as others... really, the kids below 13.. dont' have their full hand/eye coordination yet. that's a part of puberty (according to the medical community.. not me) and when they do, the game changes for all of them.. some get better... others don't... not always kind.. when they get to HS, reality sets in.. first.. colleges are not flush with scholarships like they are in football (11.7 for Div 1A...) So baseball is not the magic way to get into college.. ,hey there are other sports.. and many find them more fun... some do go on.. but most.. find out that they are only decent.. not good enough.. it's life.. been there, done that... wear the shirt myself.

That ball hit that batter. That run was cheating. You can clearly hear the ball make SOLID CONTACT WITH THE BATTER BODY. It's so sad how many of these teams I've seen lose because of the umpires and officiating
@jordanpowell273
@jordanpowell273 Год назад
I wouldn't call it cheating, missed calls are a part of every sport. To your point, of the games i've seen so far the umpiring has not been great to put it nicely. There should be review in LL also.

@@TheBestUsername no I'm not I played baseball my entire life growing up. I know very distinctly what the difference between flesh and leather is. I also can tell when it hits wood bats instead of flesh even tho sometimes they are similar. I know what I heard I not only rewatched the pitch a few times I also looked at every controversial call made so far over and over before I chime my 2 cents in. It hurts to see such awful umpiring even tho I can understand most of the balls n strikes calls be ause if u didn't ring up kids in balls at the shoulders or under the knees the games would never end and no kid would swing the bat ever
@TheBestUsername
@TheBestUsername Год назад
If your so confident that it hit the batter “solid” explain the no change in velocity or direction until it hit the catchers mit and deflected (which is clearly shown in the replay). You don’t need to play baseball to understand the physics behind it.

First off there aren't 13 year-olds, they have their own tourney and second the these are all-star teams and for kids who play little league and travel ball will always choose the chance to go to the LLWS and go back to traveling teams after or in most cases the schedules don't conflict and finally you realize only 8 teams from the states and 8 from international qualify right? So the odds of a traveling team being affected is nil. Quit being a fucking hater.
