I’ve lived in Texas all my life and this is a one off storm. We get cold, but not for this long. It’s also unusual to lose power for as long as we did.
Oh wow! I do feel you for you all. I wish I could help. Hope this week was a better week. My sister lives in Tennessee and they couldn’t get out with their storms even to come say good bye to my mom before she died last Saturday. So they said goodbye by speaker phone. Sorry about your pipes and everything else that fell apart. Hope you ally are ok now. I looked for a video today but didn’t see one. Hope you are ok. And hope to see you soon! Stay safe.
Hey Sherri, thanks so much ❤️ we are slowly fixing everything. We did a short live today, this week was crazy with fixing everything we didn't have time to film ❤️❤️
Hello from DFW. Hope all turns out ok. We turned off our water at the meter, turned on faucets to release the pressure & drain the water lines somewhat... just to be on the safe side. Yesterday and today its sunny 65-70°F. All snow and ice is gone for us. Wish yall the best.
Did any of your pipes end up bursting? That was very smart to do all that. We are on a water collection system and a well or we would have done that too. So glad the cold is gone 👏
@@FamilyFulfillmentProject no busted pipes thank goodness. With your well water, if you shut the pump off and open some faucets, should do the same as us turning off the water at the city meter. Maybe test it, so you will be prepared for future winter storms. This was definitely the most wide spread winter storm we seen in Texas, but they do happen about every 5 to 10 yrs atleast in DFW.
People make homemade stoves, you can make from 200 liter barrels with a chimney outside, take chainsaws, saw trees, stock up on firewood and everything that burns .... Do not freeze ... Look for a video in the tube of how people in Siberia and the mountains get warm ... Привет из России
Wow!!! You did a great job of showing us what you're going through there! Looking forward to seeing you on the other side of this craziness. (❤From Northern Florida)
Oh wowwww so sorry guys. What a welcome to Texas. We were without power and water for about 2 days then we had power but no water. It was one hell of a week that's for sure. Stay safe! Miller is so cute and funny.
Sounds familiar, is everything up and working for you now? We just got water today but our guest house is still broken and the neighbors are completely out.
I live 2 hours away from dallas. It's so crazy seeing this much snow in Texas. Luckily we only went without water for a few hours. I really hope everyone who experienced damage to their homes and overall their health is doing ok. It kinda sucked but it was kinda a cool experience, makes me be grateful for everything. Hope yall are doing ok now
Crazy, never thought Texas would get snow and that much snow at that!! Watching Becca made you look like you were having fun in the snow but I know you really wasn't. You were worried about your family and home. Thanks for sharing
We were lucky ( san Antonio). Lost power for almost 3 days ( on 5 off 55) finally held up in the motor home . I have 5 - 5 gallon jugs that I fill in case the well shuts off. Came in handy this time. ;) pipe damage for us this time. Had our share of that. Your place looks awesome!!
Well, the problem as we discovered later was not freezing in the pump house but further up the line. (we are currently elbows deep in the earth trying to fix it but it will be on next weeks video)
So, What is the weather like at the old house? I am Near San Diego and we had snow a couple years ago and it just about shut the whole city down. We did not have as much as you have and it was gone overnight. My cousin is there in Austin and she is in the same situation. Hang in there, the sun is coming
Looks awful! A real quick teaching session on your new house.. things to add.. a whole house generator.. a propane heater in the pump house maybe..what a pain!
