In this tutorial I show you how to create bouncy text animation without using any expressions in after effects. Thanks for that - really great tutorial, and once I dialled in the amount of bounce, just what I was trying to replicate. I did, however, wonder if it would actually be more convenient for this to be done AS an expression? I will need to have this text animation in a whole suite of templated assets moving forward, and maybe that is a simpler solution - to have all the variables in one script, rather than jumping between various Animators in AE?

Thanks. And could you make a similar tutorial which explains this kind of bounce while scaling letters from start to end. I mean a text apprars, at the same time it slides a little up in position, and letters scale up from start to end in a bouncy smoothness?

Hi, thanks! Do you mean to bounce an entire word instead of the letters one by one? This method doesn't use expressions, it's specific to this bounce

Hi, I found out how - I changed the position of the second/middle text to 110 on both bulletpoints and it worked :D

How can I add a 2 3 degree rotation to every letter? What I mean the animation starts every letter that comes is 2 3 degree rotated and after the text animation starts to go down the rotation to be at 0? I don't know how can I do this for every letter to be rotated individualy

You could add a separate animator with rotation, animate its offset from negative 100 to positive 100, in advanced settings set shape to ramp up. It should work but I gotta test that out tomorrow

Sure, just select all of the animators, then at the top select animation, save animation preset

For continuous bouncing you need to apply wiggly expression, but that's a separate topic😁

Your process is too long , you can do a bouncing effect without duplicating the text.

Hey mate, amazing tutorial. I'm new to AE, I would like to make the text bounce higher vertically, and I would like to make the bounce linger a little longer, almost like a 'decaying' effect. What settings would I need to adjust?

Thanks! You could increase the values of the keyframes, offset them in time, can't say for sure, try it out
