Happy Sunday gang!
It's wash day and I've included my full routine including the products I use in the video and also, this is my first attempt at doing a ponytail! I love the look of a sleek ponytail on others so wanted to give it a go myself. I'm really enjoying trying out new styles with my hair but I'm no pro so feel free to drop any tips below!

You did a good job & you look lovely, ponytails suit you. I love that you didn't edit out the "mistakes"; it was indeed entertaining & very relatable😂. If you have baby powder, cornstarch, even face powder you can lightly dust the ponytail to help dull the shine. Although I'm not sure how safe baby powder or dry shampoo is, especially with you being pregnant.

Haha I was tempted to but I thought I had to keep it real by keeping them in! I tried putting setting powder in the ponytail but it didn’t really work 🙈 I have a new one now tho and it’s so much better!

You look great with this style! But yes, the pony texture being more similar to your hair would make it look perfect. A good first try

I think you shouldn’t have used water based product after straightening your hair so maybe a non water based gel/ wax would have worked better or just used got2be spray after straightening it and blow dry it. For a ponytail maybe try the RUKA hair ones. I am natural so I don’t straighten my hair and for me the soft’n’free styling gel together with gummy wax also works wonders

Which one is water based, the eco styled? I’ve tried the red one wax recently and that seems to be really good!

Yeah ego styler is usually water based but you can find some that contain less water. I would stay away from eco styler and use just gel and gummy combo. For example sleek with soft’n’free and then a little bit of gummy wax to set and it’ll work wonders!!
