You actually can put a topcoat over it!! It will still show the texture but will provide protection to the glitter, smooth over the top, and will make the glitter pop more!
Those are really pretty! After watching all of your videos as well as a few other Nail Tech Artists' it makes me really want to get into the world of Nail Artistry!!! I get so satisfied when I watch someone do a bead of Nude or Clear Acrylic (especially when encapsulating) 😌😌😌😌
Suzie, great minds! ;) I bought 5 different colors of glitter from Michaels about a week ago and did the exact same steps and it worked beautifully! By the way, Michaels has beautiful glitter for those who want to create this look. I was going to use glitter on all of my nails but decided to just do my ring finger using silver glitter - - talk about BLING!! I got so many compliments. I posted a picture on Instagram about 5 days ago. I'm sooooo obsessed with glitter nails! I'm definitely doing a nail tutorial using glitter.

I went to a new nail technician a few days ago and I got a pink polish with a unicorn chrome, the nail technician put on the polish but there was bumps everywhere when she was done, and she wasn't paying attention and she cured gel to my skin. She also applied acrylic to my nails to lengthen them and she glued on the nails crooked.
I would have loved to have seen the rose gold one!!! Do you think it would be possible to do an inlay with it so it would be smooth. Would the sparkle still show through?

On the fingers she didn't put two coats on whenever it zooms in you can see the tips of her nails somewhat. Maybe it does need extra coverage at the tip or a second coat

So I’m glad this is a thing. When I got my glitter set today, I actually liked the textured unfinished nail more than when she filed my nail down. I want my glitter nail’s texture. Next time I go in, that’s what I want.

Hey Suzie, my 13 b-day is coming up in a couple weeks, I LOVE doing my nails and I have over 120 nail polishes right now, u have inspired me to try to do my own acrylic nails so my grandma says that she can get me a set and my mom is getting me a real nail table to do my nails. I really like the idea of a dark matte nail with a chrome underside of the tip... I never wear my nails long enough for that, but I want to try it someday!
