Texturizing short hair pt 1 

I did mine at home yesterday. On Medium length 4c, tangled, thick, dry, poorly cared for (due to poor mental health and difficult to manage hair) hair. I thought about this for a long time and watched nearly all the videos on RU-vid of different ways people used a texture softener. I was so scared and stalled for a while but then just did it because I needed my hair to be more manageable so I can care for it properly. My results were so good!!! No straight strands and got looser curls! I just had to share my experience.. not recommending anyone do it at home, but if you do, really think on it and do ALOT, ALOT of research! 🥰

I use half regular relaxer, half my choice of conditioner. It took about 5 minutes and all is well.

I texurise at home. Did it when i was 15. Always got perfect results because i knew my hair and it only took 7 minutes from start to end. When i went back natrual people always asked why and said i had the "perfect" texturised hair. Also because less effort is needed to tame the beast of thick natural hair my hair also got longer. I agree with you though doing a texturiser at home is not recommended.

Part 2 got lost in the matrix. I wish they would link them somehow. It is always appreciated.

I have been wanting to texturize my hair for awhile now, I shaved my head completely bald over a year ago and it has grown back, but the crown grew back straight, no curl pattern at all. Not sure why, but over the past few years, I've noticed my crown has no curl, just a bit of a wave here and there, and a lot of straightness. Would I need to texture the crown area?

We all suddenly wanted to have an Afro because hair gurus with a loose curl patterns made us believe we could all achieve the same results... lol looks like we are slowly going back to relaxing our hair to make it straight again🙃😂 and we coming up with different names for it

Is texturing a good idea for thin hair on top, thick in back?

If I want my sides texture only my sides and back to get get the curl look that have sew in the top can it be done my sides and back are very short. I am getting tried of the slick look on the side and back.

You are good, yet you may want to make sure you do your right sides as much and thoroughly as the left. I notice this in quite a few of your videos.
