Tezgam - The Mayanaaz Train of Pakistan - Arrival | Coupling & Departure from Karachi Cantt

Tezgam (7UP / 8DN) is one of the most prominent and oldest train of Pakistan Railways that run between Karachi and Rawalpindi via Hyderabad - Rohri - Bahawalpur - Multan - Khanewal - Sahiwal - Lahore - Jhelum - Rawalpindi.
In this video, I have tried to capture a little sights of Karachi Cantt Station building, then the arrival of 7UP from Washing line and then the coupling of loco with rake and finally the departure from Karachi Station.
The whole scene took a lot of time that it was almost sunset. And last but not least, sorry for abrupt ending because storage of my camera was full. But still you can enjoy the remaining video.

I recently travelled from Karachi to Rawalpindi by Tezgam. It was late by 5 hours reaching Rawalpindi at mid night. The best part of this train was that most of the trains following tezgam crossed tezgam and it stopped at so many stations to give them way.

You are right.. the switch man is not following the safety standards here but its like that since ages. And yes RGE-24 (Model: GE C24-7i) is General Electric loco manufactured in 2002 and is of 2000 bhp. However because of not much maintenance now mostly using in hauling short distances only. The latest GE locos Pakistan imported from USA are GEU-40 of 4563 bhp specially for freight trains.

Shah hussain train I was found bakwas train while I come to Karachi from Lahore on 15 Dec 2018. My 02 births here in A/C Standard Class I was observed that spece between sets/birth very close. There is no sufficient space for pacengar and their bags, eating foods etc. Toilets of train was found very worse condition. Train reach to Landhi station late at 2:40 hrs on 16 Dec ,2018. Therefore I recommended new name of this train is Bakwss instead of Shah Hussan

You are right bro.. the services are not up to the mark of PR in most trains and I seriously hope they do something for its betterment. Next time you should choose Greenline or Karakoram which are best trains between Karachi and Lahore.
