Yep, They've still got it! Edited the 3rd TF2 comic that the voice actors read, this time it's Ellen Mclain and Gary Schwartz! it feels really weird to hear the heavy and administrator talk together! #tf2 #tf2meme
@@protocetid And TF2 is a 15 year old game. Working on the current source code must be... a rather unpleasant experience. Though they could always get the community to release updates for them, like they did with Left 4 Dead 2. Edit: You know what? I honestly don't know why they don't want to just do that. Or maybe they did and that's what the TF2 Classic and Open Fortress devs have been working on now. Probably not but one can always dream...
It was indeed meant to be the Administrator laughing. But if not for Dennis chiming in, he would have had *zero* Pyro lines in this dub, so I guess he wanted to do *something*.
Last time we heard him do the voices they sounded pretty rough, especially his Demo, but in this whole stream they sounded pretty alright. Maybe a bit strained, but not bad at all.
This comic surprised me when I first read it, with how they are so hell-bent on security and secrecy and have been manipulating governments for years, and Heavy and Pyro just find and break into the place
@@Thornskade: If it was gonna be anyone, these two make sense, Heavy could probably just brute force his way in, while Pyro is probably so strung out he just didn’t feel any deterrences (Ie: Bullets
@@silenc3068 the mercenaries are some of the dumbest, least tactical, and non-self-aware people you can find, but they're also the best of the best. If anyone in the world could find it, it'd be one of them.
@@Thornskade Heavy is a multiskilled craftsman in an job that boils down to gunning down idiots, and Pyro is a business genius in the field of technology with the means to communicate with beings from another dimension. Fear them.
I love the fact that pyro laugh sound even more insane here than in the game. Like when you think about it, pyro with his pyrovision... looks at those medic-bag or health pick up( probably contain drugs) as literal cupcake and cakes. Like I wonder how overdose or drug addicted he/she is.
@@peter-o-peppermint: Pryo’s already mentally unstable, no way in hell he isn’t, the goggles would only worsen that, and since he sees the healing things as food…Yeah, he’s probably addicted to just about every medical drug out there, I imagine it wouldn’t take much to shatter the little psyche he has
One thing to appreciate from the VAs' work, is that even though the laughter near the end was supposed to be for the Administrator, the Pyro (Mr. Bateman) took over instead. But still, the Admin (Ms. Mclain) still put in the laugh she was supposed to do during her dialogue. Love the improv from the TF2 crew.
They haven't lost their touch one bit, amazing voice acting. Even Pyro's laugh is perfect! Heavy update dream crushed by Pyro. That's a bit _heavy_ to take it all 😭😭
But that's not the case at all? They did voice lines for almost every major update, up to 2017 So yeah, it would actually be about 5 to 6 years for most of them, not 15
I saw tf2 for the first time (unknowingly what it was) a year after a ytp named skellington's revenge was uploaded and a noticed animation by Maxie was uploaded. And then there was Team Fabulous 2 when I started knowing what the game and community was about. And hearing the VA's read these comics, and hearing Rick May's final words while sounding like Soldier warms my heart, this video and the other parts of the TF2 VA voicing the comics is amazing. No other words can deny that and I don't have any words to say about how great Team Fortress is.
I got 3 words for Robin, Ellen, John, Gary and Dennis (also Grant and Nathan, wherever they are): You are awesome! 😄👍 PS: I wish Rick would've be around to join the QNA livestream 😔
i like how you can clearly tell that the voice actors have aged alot since they last did their voices but its still always a treat to hear them slowly coming back, cant say the same for rick may tho... may he rest in peace, god speed you magnificent bastard o7
Pyro sees drugs (and other medical supplies) as candy, his ability to effortlessly crush a lighter isn’t surprising, he can full on sprint and jump around with a flamethrower, he’s got that crackhead strength
@@yocapo32 when it first came out, I thought it was different, and that was the point. Because it deals less damage and it's slowing effect is useless against another Heavy, it means you're screwed if you encounter a Heavy with Sasha, which is your punishment for betraying Sasha by using another gun. Of course, I like to use the Brass Beast, so that is no longer true.
we need all the TF2 voice actors playing the game in the same team, with the same classes they voice. EDIT: because of the RU-vid notifications i thought this didnt get over 100 likes lol, thank you for that
Pal, this isn't possible anymore. Sadly, Rick May, The Soldier ,left us. Even if all of the other voice actors did it, they would miss a soldier , of course , they could take a random player , but it wouldn't be the same...
@@hedwig7s it wouldn't be the same. If you want something like this to happen, you need all the OG voices. Some things just can't happen and unfortunately that's the way it is.
Sometimes I think about the fact that Helen was completely ready to let Heavy kill her. As much authority and influence as she has, at the end of the day, she's just an old woman when you get down to it, and she knows that.
0:35 Wait a second, RAMPART'S MINIGUN SHIELA- Is that what it's named after? And it's even a MINIGUN, this can't be a coincidence. Now I'm speculating it's an easter egg by the Respawn devs..
