Its a config, then some in game and computer settings to stretch his laptop to a 4:3, just google b4nny 4:3 ratio or b4nny config and you will find them. B4nny's config isn't the best but it does its job.

What do you mean by more visibility? View distance? Also any decent machine should be capable of running the game with max settings at 100+ fps all the time. 100 fps should be more than enough.

you're wrong about the fps part, more fps is always better, people can still tell the difference between 200 and 400 fps even when the refresh rate is only 60hz, it's because the more frames that are produced, the closer a frame is produced to the time that the monitor refreshes, making it more accurate in showing the current event happening. also, the visibility part, less clutter, less particles, simpler textures all give better contrast between the player models and the environment the part about decent machines is also kind of wrong, tf2 is an old game and it runs horribly on newer graphics cards, my geforce gt 440 runs the game better than my brother's gtx 1060 and his ram/cpu are better than mine
