THE TEAM'S READING COMPREHENSION FROM WORST TO BEST Scout - Can't read at all. Books are for nerds. Pyro - Actively burns books, and interprets all written signs as "MMMF" Soldier - Can barely read with a lot of concentration. Unless it's presented in incredibly complicated military jargon, in which case he understands it perfectly. Heavy - Has a PHD in Russian Literature, but reads English about as well as he speaks it. Sniper - Has a grade 3 reading level, and hasn't bothered to open a book in decades. Demoman - Can read relatively well, but only when he can see straight. Also the last time he opened a book, it stole his eyeball. Medic - A solid grasp of written English, especially its medical terms. Tends to ignore most written instructions, especially the warning labels. Spy - Reads classic French and English literature in his smoking room, but tends to skim mission briefings. Engineer - Has a fantastic grasp of written English, fully reads the instructions and follows them to the letter.

I'm a new medic main, I've just started playing TF2. I really enjoy it but there's definitely a number of players who treat the medic command almost like a catcall

King Harkinian Basically .. The "contracts" are a cs:go like operation thingy. Because yeah, they did an update like cs:go, they added .. Uuhh .. Weapon skins ... ? THE UPDATE IS GOOD, OKAY !
Shinji Ikari Never heard of the counter strike operations ? Basically, in counter strike global offensive, they add an update with a temporary event, which basically has temporary map ( unlike tf2 ) new weapons ( which are permanent ) and an operation which you can buy, in order to get assigned to in game mission (ie, personnal objeectives, like killing a certain target, playing with a certain weapon or a certain map, ect) and that grants you with rewards upon completion. They basically did exactly the same in TF2. You have to buy the contract campaign to be able to have contracts. And yes, the fact that this update cs:go-ified tf2 has been VERY controversial. So don't bother saying "this update looks like shit !" Go see by yourself and make yourself an opinion.
I love how miss Pauling tries to get into the personality of every mercenary, sometimes being socially awkward or very hilarious My favorite lines are when she talks to soldier xD it's just too much 3:17
"Hey spy! oh right. you're probably sneaking up on somebody. to stab them. oh I bet you're about to do it too. They can't, hear me, can they? Do you have video on this thing?" That made me laugh.
It's interesting that unlike the others (at the time of Meet The Pyro, anyway), Pauling knows that Pyro is a (Wo)Man Child. In their backstory, Valve seems to be going down the route of saying that these guys do these jobs not because they're the best but because they are too crazy/desperate to turn them down.
Sniper seems to be Crazy,Spy seems to be just there for money or something and Engie probably is just there to work for the Administrator because his father was involved with the life extending machines built for Redmond And Blutarch

Favorite one is when she's having moped troubles and talked to Engie first before a professional car mechanic. Really shows the trust they built (Also, he probably does have something along the lines of a disintegration machine, after all this is probably the same universe as Half Life and Portal so they have Emancipation Grills)
