Maybe it’s cause I’m smoking a fat doink, but this was one of the most enjoyable tf2 let’s plays I’ve seen in a long time. Balanced matches with lots a of team work and combos so fast my high ass can’t see the switch. Sheesh. This is video has the kind of stuff that had me falling in love with tf2 way back in middle school

Liberty Launcher is the best practice launcher in the game. Good for rocket jumping, easier to land hits, more forgiving clip size... the lower damage even prolongs fights, which lets you better learn the class. Great for new players!
Plus it has FANTASTIC synergy with the rest of its set. The reduced damage means you're not gonna be relying on it as much as stock and encourages using it as a mobility and setup tool, using it more to launch opponents and then plug them with the Reserve Shooter, and in addition the extra rocket jumping capability it offers gives it excellent synergy with the Market Gardener. It's a set that encourages you to make full use of both your secondary and your melee, and in my opinion it's straight up the best official set Soldier ever got

It’s awesome for new players, but also has potential to become a bit of a crutch with the faster rockets and bigger clip size, so when learning make sure to switch to the stock to practice with as well!
The liberty launcher is kind of like the huo long heater in that it's so close to being really good. Pairing it with the gunboats makes bombing super forgiving and the extra rocket really allows for players to start bombing runs from distances that aren't possible otherwise but you really need to land close range directs to get any decent mileage out of it. If the damage penalty on the liberty launcher wasn't quite as severe I have no doubt it would be a really good sidegrade
For some reason, I've found that the cow mangler more reliably (maybe more than stock? haven't really tried to compare) pops people into the air than the rocket launcher that's supposed to go with the reserve shooter, making it a better pick to pair with the reserve shooter

I try to be a decent medic but more often than not I'll pop uber on a new player and they'll interpret as being able to run away safely instead of pushing forward

back in 2013 when i was 12 i thought this combo was the strongest loadout for soldier because its hard to accomplish so i tried to play this all the time and failed miserably. just wanted to share

Watching this video makes me think the Liberty Launcher should be tweaked to make it a true combo weapon, especially when you consider the weapons from the set, keep the damage penalty, remove the extra rocket, remove the faster projectile speed, but add increased knock back and decreased rocket jump self damage, that way it will combo better with the Reserve Shooter (being able to launch them easier) and the decreased self damage will make for more Market Gardener opportunities.
It already has the decreased self damage. I think honestly it works fantastically in its current set, it has amazing synergy with both the other weapons. The caveat being, it kinda relies on those in order to be effective, and with most of Soldier's other tools it's just not worth it
For some reason liberty launcher really feels like a random crit cannon, maybe because you cant kill as many people as with the rocket launcher with it, and you get random crit kills more "often" relatively to regular frags, but it feels like it has a melee crit frequency.
the liberty launcher used to be so much better. it was never the best, but didn't suck like that :( the 25% less damage is just too much of a downside for it. I think it should be 15% like the airstrike. I also think it should be reworked to combo better with the reserve shooter, and despise that I love the design and aesthetic of it :D
Dude, why usin' the liberty launcher? It is decent imo, but it's not the best pair with the reserve shooter. The thing is that the amount of knockback rocket launchers do depend on the amount of damage. I use the liberty 24/7 as a soldier, but you would better just do it with any other launcher (except maybe the airstrike)
I've always wanted this, but didn't want to buy it, haven't been able to play, and don't get to much. So... Maybe I'll try to see if I can get it, although I don't think I will buy it, ill probably craft it or something
is too good when u have a balanced game and not one team destroying the other , the combo is really fun, but alone the liberty launcher just sucks i tried it a lot of times and those times sucked. So i'll stick with the other rocket launchers. Nice video , yo did amazing dude
