The fact that one of the votekicks accused you of scamming absolutely destroyed me. You were doing a lot of things, but scamming players was not one of them.
I once jokingly initiated vote kick for scamming after a man cancelled hi-five taunt last second and laughed at me. Was pretty funny. Nobody was kicked.
Next unhelpful engineer should be placing a exit where a entrance should be, and a entrance where the exit should be, so it creates the illusion that there is a teleporter that works.
Alright, heres an idea: When someone's critically low, calls out to Medic and runs up to you, the only Medic on the team, you just schadenfreude them 💀 And also do it when they die in front of you Truely diabolical
One time someone was playing goofy memes in the mic, a guy went apeshit in the voice chat saying how TF2 is becoming like Fortnite because of mic spammers like him. He also called a vote kick that almost worked. Another man or two stepped up and argued that it's ok since it's fun. They had an insane argument in the voice chat while the mic spammer also played gamer rage audios and a Scooby Doo intro. The rest listened and laughed as it unfolded.

Had an unhelpful engineer build a tele in the upward spot in a 100 player server. He was votekicked, but immediately afterwards 4 other engies placed teles in the same spot in his honour.
you should have one scene where you are setting up a teleporter at the start of a match and other players switch to engineer to help you upgrade, then you should just destroy your own teleporter and just laugh at them lol
I really liked encountering these types of players back when I was playing; with a funny name doing what the name implies. I didnt consider them trolls, just TF version of roleplayers. Even only spectating them while respawning made the whole match extremely fun and loosing couldnt trump down the comedy. I noticed that people treat games more and more seriously and are getting very competetive. Back in the day noone would kick players like that.

I once played with a heavy with "the brawler" set as their nickname. He used the stock fists exclusively. Funniest part was when our medic übered him and he took down a sentry nest. I like it when someone does some dumb shit like this and others join in on it with no prior communication.
My favorite one was a guy named "Mysterious Stranger" as in the fallout character, who was playing spy and had cosmetics that made him look like the mysterious stranger. We would sit cloak and daggered on 2fort and whenever he caught someone alone, he would uncloak ans play the mysterious stanger jingle, gun you down, then disappear. Outstanding roleplay.

Shoutout to NarestWhal, he saw what you were doing and backed you up on it. And that one demo who saw the teleporter and just let you keep doing your thing. They're what make this game great
go to upward, make sure you're on defense right as a round is starting, then set up your teleporter to lead into the pit near the final point. since upward is a circle, it'll look as if your teleporter leads to the first point when it'll actually lead your teammates to their death or just a long walk back to the frontline
I find it kinda strange how people for the most part don’t give a shit if you’re doing nothing as demo, sniper, spy etc. But as soon as you start doing nothing on medic or engineer people will vote kick you the second the thought enters their mind
Most likely since those classes provide the most direct "support" for the team, so it's more frustrating when a Medic won't heal you or an Engie won't build a sentry, compared to some scout just running around aimlessly
I love when someone comes on the VC saying "this is why YOU are losing" oh no Mr big shot, we're not losing because you think you're higher than all of us in the TEAM-based game TEAMfortress 2, no no we're losing because we're all stupid fucks right? not because its fucking dustbowl and every stage is either a speedrun or 20 minutes of stalemate XD

For anyone looking here for ideas: unhelpful spy which is where you disguise as one of your own teammates and act suspicious and once they start shooting you run so they follow you and you waste their time.

i love how people can take the teleporter if they just... dont move. stand still. but no they walk forward after dying to it several times because they have a memory of a goldfish and cant stand still for a SECOND-
There's two types of players: 1 is they get really angry and salty and start name calling, dropping insults and calling votekicks. 2 is they look at the name, realise someone is just memeing around, and take it in good faith.

I sometimes troll other players with my teleporters on friendlier matches. Sometimes, I get an enemy demo with me, place a teleporter exit near him (after I build an entrance), and let him spam stickies on it. The moment someone takes the teleporter, the demo blows them up and we both laugh at their demise.

These people are playing with someone called UNHELPFUL ENGINEER - PLAIN and CLEAR - and yet they STILL get mad when the UNHELPFUL ENGINEER is shockingly being unhelpful They have no sense of humour, I swear to God.
