I grew up around these beaches, going to cabo every few years as a 5-14 year old getting pumbled by the waves, at one point I had shorts full of 2.5lb of sand after a beach day🤣 It's crazy to see this all happening 2 min boat ride from the beach I used to go to. Keep up the legendary videos (edit: Been watching these guys since the beginning and it's been a ride for sure)

Yall need to learn how to ride the top of the wave until it breaks then drop down and ride the surge to the sand. I'm not a skimboarder but I've been watching for a while and I think I heard you say only tricks out the front count in comp. That might be the breakthrough. You've been a pioneer for out the back tricks. I think being able to get to the top of the wave and ride the break onto the sand would be nice and considered the front. Love from Bama
I think the issue here is the angle they’re coming in from. The waves are in all directions and they’re coming in sideways to the big barrel waves hitting the shore. They’re taking advantage of the waves that aline with their drop in, which is something you don’t see very often. The waves are coming back off the rocks and running perpendicular to the shore. Pretty sweet spot if you ask me!
For sure those waves are crucial. Awesome how they bounce off the rock face and create separate waves. I'm not a skim boarder, maybe they already do it and that spot is just too rough. It just came to my mind and I commented. It would be sick to see somebody ride on top of the break and drop in and ride the wash to the sand
That was freakin gnarly! I did a front flip off of something once and landed on my butt, out for days haha but this, this looked insane! Yeah, Like he said, on the head and it almost certainly would've been over 😬 hope he's doing okay 🙏

Oh man he was VERY fortunate!..That was 18+ ft fall, then comin down HARD in but a few scant feet of H2O & Terra-FIRMa, right after that wave passed. In Feb 2013 I'd fractured a stack of 8 vertebrae in my lumbar, via a similar event, slamming down hard on my own tailbone... Glad hes 'aight.... Those waves were somethin else, pretty cool how they deflect off that rock wall, then travel laterally down the beach, only to meet incoming perpendicular waves further down!...;)
