It’s funny that I still remember the first time I heard that song. I was 17, with a cute girl by my side, driving my first car (a beaten up Volkswagen Jetta 1992) while listening to an “experimental tape” a guy had given me randomly in a convenient store moments ago. It was a copied tape with only TFUL282 written on it. It was the first song of the tape. I do not know why but this sentence: “I drink Eloise and put out the light” still resonates in my soul to this day.
