TGI Fridays is one of the most expensive restaurants near me so it doesn’t surprise me that their range at Iceland will be the same. I personally like Frankie and Benny’s and Nando’s witch a better value for money. Tbh I could buy a bag of the spring roll cases from my local Chinese shop and a punnet of beef mince from my local supermarket and make a tone of theses from the same price
I think that's the first review I didn't hear an mmmmmm so it became apparent you didn't like them. I think you've convinced me not to buy any! Cheers Gareth.
I'd agree with you prices are definitely on the up in Iceland but they are bringing all different products out to anyone else which catches the eye ,love the vid Gareth Top man 👌👍👍👍👍👍
These are one of my favourite things ! I love them. I went mad when Iceland said they had stopped doing them but I found them in my local store yesterday and I bought three packs ! They are now £4 for 6
When I saw the picture on the box, I my initial impression was, 'Nope, not for me', however; I was very keen to see what you thought of them and to see what they 'really' looked like. Not disappointed with my first thoughts. T hank you for reviewing and saving us some cash that can now be spent on something better. There's another wee parcel on it's way to you, posted it this evening as it was too big for the box I've already sent. Cheers Gareth.
Fantastic video I am sure I have had these before put with out the sauce Iceland never put sauce in I did not like them so have a good night you and all the family 👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Gareth, these have come and gone here in Australia 🇦🇺. They didn't last long on the shelves about as popular as a turd in a swimming pool and as you've described, they don't work. Ho hum.. If you have the Time for a cheeseburger spring roll then you've waisted your time 😀. A honest review. Cheers mate 👍😀🇦🇺
Great video 📹 Bald Foddie Guy..You Can Allways Tell If You Like Them On Your First Bite ..But Your Facial Expression Says All You Need To Know ...LOL 🤣 PS The Iceland 🇮🇸 £1 For 10 Duck Spring Rolls Are Not Bad ..All The Best 👌..Happy Days 🙂
out of curiosity, is it cheaper to run a gas oven for 30 mins or the air fryer for 20mins? Given that's how long the same product would take to cook in each.
Good question. My cooker is electric, it's a big one. The air fryer is small and blast the heat, cooking time reduced by half. I've noticed my electric meter is showing less this last week.
@@BaldFoodieGuy yeah it makes sense that it's cheaper to run than a big electric oven that takes longer to cook stuff. If anyone knows how it fares against a gas oven please let us know :) I did try to work this out with Google but it's surprisingly difficult to get an answer. I did find that a gas oven at 200c uses 12MJ per hour and the air fryer uses 1.5kw per hour, but I couldn't find a UK price for the units.
The best of these are in Magic ingdon in Walt Disney World, but the chese and gerkins and mixed in the meat not next to it. Far better to make your own :)
Thanks for doing this review. Wanted to try these, but shall not bother now. Agree price is a bit excessive. Not much more to buy sides/starters in TGI Fridays itself.
Yes Gareth prices been going up don’t fancy them I looked other day there xmas food is expensive this year I save with them with my bonus card not get a lot prob for money I go Aldi then get value take care xx👍👍🏴🏴
Another good video, but with Christmas coming up, perhaps one could pop out to Fortnums and Harrods and compare their hampers, tasting and critiquing their fois gras, truffle, caviar and champagne. For your more down market clients, you could try Marks and Waitrose instead. Tristan Ponsonby-Farquahar.
love your honest reviews and for me only spring roll id buy is from a chinese takeaway i think these food producers are trying to hard when there are some things you should just leave be as they are and dont tinker about with what works lol great review as always 😀
Hello Gareth 👋 I have ever have spring roll for a very long time It might be five years 😳 or six years 😳 🤔 😅 ago when I had spring roll With my family 👪 Charles
Not a TGI fan at all or of those inflated prices!! That'll be a big no then. My favourite spring rolls are the ones sold in your local chippy, cant get them frozen to cook at home anywhere either!! Thanks for the review😃👍
Can't believe you still aint said it....."Come and have aloook at what ya could've won"!!!...........Still don't know why people moan at paying 3-4quid for food, maybe these people would be happy to have thee olde rationing books 🤔
Bloody Hell me old Sapper, I was crying laughing at you eating these……reminded me of chewing on those Biscuits Brown from the old Ration Packs back in the day 🤣🤣🤣 you could knock a Man out if you threw one of them Biscuits at his head hahaha…. I hate Gherkins too, they looked very dry those Spring Rolls Pal, so I’ll be giving them a miss. Gareth, try out Iceland Braising Steak with Onion Gravy, done in the nuke in 5 Mins Brother, absolutely tremendous with Albert Bartlett French Fries and some Mushy Peas, top scran indeed. Take Care Brother, Best Wishes to you & Family. Regards from Shane.
They say - every picture tells a story. Your face when you took the first bite said it all - could tell immediately that you didn't like them. Well done for trying more of something that was clearly not up your street. x
Phwoarrrr they look good! "They were £4".... They don't look that good lol The gherkin had me in stitches! 😂😂 Weird that there didn't seem to be gherkins in the others
cant help wondering if they were a bit off? well, if they were, maybe your next video will be something the wife has cooked, and you can review it from your sick bed? loving the honesty.
A local takeaway near me in Stockport does Cheeseburger Spring Rolls and they're insanely good. Super crispy, nice filling, tomato ketchup and mustard sauces. I need to order some.... Thanks for the video! Awesome content as always. :-)
@@BaldFoodieGuy I buy them all the time. Sometimes they call them boneless wings or something. It's the TGI Fridays range. Best thing they do in my opinion. Just stick them into the oven 25 mins, I warm the buffalo sauce up in a pan or you can do them in a microwave and toss the chicken through the sauce to coat each piece. Not really that spicy but quite tasty
Absolutely SPOT ON! top bloke you are pal. Come to Leicester you can come to mine and ill make curry, rice, naan being indian and that. Keep it up champ. The invite is open for ya anytime
A random comment unrelated to these. But I was thinking about a good nacho cheese dip you might like from those online american snack companies, it's made by fritos and its jalapeno nacho cheese. Maybe you could do a tast test of american snacks. and maybe get hold of some hot pockets?
Hello Gareth Where did you get your plate from ? I've got the dual ninja air fryer, I told myself I wouldn't be one of them person but I caved and got one i love it chicken wings in it is 👌
Hi there I have not see them but I have seen One like this in Marks & Spencer‘s parties food I have tried them and they are nice but I know they’re dearer than Iceland but that doesn’t mean nothing Iceland might be better than M&S
The sauce had split and looked oily and revolting. There was a mac n cheese dish that had gherkins in, you weren't fussed on that either. I think you would like the L A Diner range at FarmFoods...
Great review gareth but they are definitely not for me especially when I saw that gherkln I'll save £4 and you are quite correct food is going up everywhere the Chinese and Indian range at Iceland are now £1:95 only about a year or so they were £1:50 think I'll stick to a snacksters quarter pounder and cheese from aldi and some gastro chips 👍👍🍟🍟🍅🍅🍔🍔
