Going on alms round is one of the practise laid down by Lord Buddha for Buddhist monks. What they recited was a verse in Pali 'Abhivadana silissa, niccam vuddhapacayino. Cattaro dhammam vaddanti, ayu, vanno, sukkham, balam...which means ' for one who have a respectful nature and constantly honours the worthy, four qualities increases, that is long life, beauty, happiness and strength..sadhu sadhu sadhu..(remember..our parents are worthy of honour toooo...)
The Buddha came out without accepting the blind rituals of Hinduism and founded Buddhism! It is not Hinduism that separates people on the basis of caste religion! It is Buddhism that treats everyone equally 🙏

@@ಠಿ_ಠಿ-ಝ2ರ nope it is not true and their is nothing like "blind rituals" in hinduism ,if a man have pure logic to analyse things.Lord Budha leave his home and leave his family in search of truth ,after enlightenment he guve speeches to his followers. and it is not buddha who found buddhism religion it was his followers
Hinduism is very very different from Buddhism. The ultimate fruit of Hinduism is brahma realm but The Maha Brahma also worship the Arahant Theros of Buddha. Because the ultimate fruit of Buddhism is Nibbana (Nirwana /Nirodha) and this is uncomparably greater than become a maha brahma. In other hand Hinduism is not a path to liberation actually it doesn't have a well organized unique practice method because hinduism is collection of practices of many common believers. But Buddhism is a well taught religion by Supreme Samma Sam Buddha 🙏☸️
@@atiqrahman7289buddhist monastics strive to purify their mind from inner defilements, which is a very noble act. For that reason, supporting their existence by giving them the 4 requisits to sustain the body ( food, clothing, shelter and medication) is meritorious for the laity... The Buddha insisted that the monks remain dependent on the lay support for those, for many other reasons.. it helps to shed the pride . Sense of ' independence' tends to give a false sense of security, and forget the fragile vulnerable nature of life. It helps to appreciate the generosity of others and feel humbled to be at the receiving end. The effort to walk miles for a bowl of food helps to generate a sense of ardency to stay on course, to justify the receipt. It may be very poor people who donate so one must feel worthy of receiving.. no one will give the monks unless they feel happy to give so they really must Cultivate a lot of discipline. It's the training of the disciples that continues to gladden the hearts of the lay people so it works bothways in many levels. There are many mindful practices to train throughout the alms round .. the entire experience is designed to be very rewarding and awakening to the receiver, giver and even the onlookers. Its a beautiful, profound act which is not begging. They don't beg only indicate the readiness to receive if given willingly.
@@atiqrahman7289 You won't understand it because you are in a different view of life, just as non-Muslims can't understand why muslim prophet could marry an underage girl, which you might think makes sense.
NAMO BUDHAY NAMO DHAMMAY NAMO SANGHAY BHAVATU SABBA MANGALAM VANDAMI BHANTE JI VANDAMI BHANTE JI VANDAMI BHANTE JI SADHU . SADHU . . SADHU . . . JAI BHIM ..... JAI BHARAT .....
Very nice :-) , I love how in Buddhist countries people young / old in between give respect to the monks no matter even if monk is younger than them.... You would never see that here in Australia the young people don't even listen to the priest or church ministers, let alone there parents. But this is Tamboon or merit making is one of the many things I love about South East Asian countries..
This is a great tradition that is hardly understood by people from harsh and materialistic culture where humility, generosity, and respectability disappear while worshiping the new gods of consumerism and materialism. Let this culture of compassion flourish to sustain the world.
Good buddhist culture. Plz don't give them meat eggs and alcohol, cigarettes. Pureveg simple living monks are best in real buddhism.buddha said if you don't have any food to eat then you can eat meat. Monks are like a leader of our society. This advice is from the land of buddha lumbini nepal.
Pali is the language of Buddha🙏 and Pali was the Language of Ancient Magadha. Many popular languages have roots in Pali. Not only Hindi & Sanskrit Sinhala , Thai , Maldive basha , basha indonesia , ..... etc
Which god? There are more than 330000000 gods! But Buddhists see refuge in only ; 1) Buddha 2) Dhamma 3) Sangha Gods also will help you if you are doing merits May you find the true religion for liberation May you obtain Happiness May you attain Nibbana
