The device works surprisingly well from English to Thai. From Thai to English, it works ok when the speaker speaks in a deadpan manner. The translation goes off the rail when the speaker sprinkles their sentence with Thai expressive adverbs as first speaker did.

in the past this place in chonburi used to be a center for trading buffalo in eastern Thailand. In their free time, cattle herders compete with each other for fun. Until it became an annual tradition in chonburi province.

Just FYI. Of cause they are quite healthy. Thay have very good care since their prizes (their own prizes, not the reward prizes) --- both for beauty competition (yes, Thai have it as well. Buffalo pageant competition) and race -- are quite high. A good buffalo might cost you a luxuary car. If any of you understand Thai, Copy and search on YT for "นางฮ้อยอย่าง น้องอัญชัญ เผยถึงควายสายประกวด ราคารถสปอร์ต | SUPER10" it has Eng sub. Just hit CC and see/read for yourselves.

Chris, Here in Huai Yai, just 15 minutes east of the south end of Jomtien Beach I found some big snails in my backyard. I think I saw them racing, not sure, an hour later they were still shell to shell.
