in thailand people can get their prison sentences shortened by winning matches in state sponsored sports. it's usually prisoners against fighters, i'm not sure if it's just muay thai but at the very least they do muay thai and boxing matches with the incentive of a shortened prison term. it's just called Prison Fight if you want to look it up

Actually in some countries, muay thai and lethwei fights DO happen with prisoners and also in prisons with professional fighters. Very common. Look up the story of David Leduc. He talks about it on a few different docs, including JRE 👍 so not too far fetched…

knockout should have never happened. but the guy who got knocked out, literally had a 0 in his ground game. thats why it happened. imagine fighting in MMA in 2024, and not having a ground game. eek
