Thanks mate. Useful. Perhaps you could add in the description above a numbered list of the complete documents you required?. I hadnt heard about the bangkok generated bank certificate, only the up to date on the day statement...you definitely needed that then?
Yep, the statement for a year, the bank book updated and a certificate echoing the bank book, amazing. I will indeed put a list in the description✅ Thanks for suggesting that, good idea 🥳

Depends where you are living. All offices have their own take on it. In Sangkha I need a small portion of what Chaeng Wattana demand. The Police photocopy my passport pages and stamps. I just need the completed form. the acknowledgments of liability for overstay, a six month statement, a bank book updated monthly (The Police photocopy as well), and the bank certificate to show the account is solely in my name.
I went through that blk/blu ink deal before lol., .As far as getting your12 month bank statements, you can have them emailed directly to you. you'll get them next day after 2pm and print them out at home, saves having to wait 5 days and having to go back to bank to pick them up.
To retire in Thailand over 50 years you apply for a non-immigrant visa (normally at a Thai consulate out of Thailand). When you arrive in Thailand that visa is stamped "USED" - and a new "EXTENSION OF STAY" stamp is entered into the passport with an expiry date that coincided with the number of days granted on the "USED" visa. At the end of that extension of stay, you must leave Thailand OR apply for an extension of stay. Your Visa is not being renewed. You are applying for a fresh extension of stay. People get confused over this because so many You Tubers are confused over this and spread confusion. It's not that difficult -and I'm 72.
I was told the certificate was good for a week, but you needed to update the passbook the day of. I am not looking forward to my visa renewal in a few months..
My renewal based on a Thai marriage goes so much smoother than whatever that circus was you went through. And the best part is only 400,000 baht needed to show in the bank. I heard something about showing a regular pension going into ones bank account may replace the need to hold a large sum in the bank. Hear anything about that?
Hi Ally, Great video. I have a Non-O Visa with Multi Re-entry which will expired 11/9/24 and I am currently back in Australia with families for Christmas break. Q1. When I go back to Thailand soon, Can I just buy a 1 way flight ticket? Q2. Is it easy to do TM30 report when I arrive back within 24hrs? Thank you.
Thanks for watching, imho q1 yes. TM 30 is the responsibility of the landlord but in any case, if you are the landlord, you can now do it online. tm30.immigration.go.th
Hi Just renewed at Bangkok June 2023 1. TM7 plus 1 photo 2. Passport plus copy 3. Bank book plus copy 4. Bank letter plus copy 5. Note 3 & 4 need to be to the date of visit..not the day before..so get your queue number ticket then confirm the bank letter format with official ( seems to change each year !) then go downstairs to the bank and do this 6. Health insurance certificate plus copy There was no requirement for a bank letter with 12 months movement just current balance. Hope this helps Best wishes😂
Yes I believe they phased them out in the last couple of years. But the 90 day report paper form still asks for it. So perhaps the I/O simply ignores it now🤔
" The pen ink problem " it's got nothing to do with matching ink, it's a Thai thing that black ink represnts death. Filling out government doc must only be done in blue and only blue. Same problem with red ink.
Wow …. Cbbblawababwhat ! Loved the video intently confusing and you got through it , does it get better as you age, or does our memories fade . I liked your video but worry bout the confusion that you have to deal with on a quarterly and yearly basis, how do you perceive the future thier my friend😅
The reason for using a blue pen is cause black allows copying? Its been the norm for years to always use an ink blue pen or today blue biro???anywhere....I went to Thailand in 1989 now live abroad I used to have a lawyer do all my work permit/visa as it was a battle doing it myself 15 years ago just like you have today. I am Ok now as married to a Thai woman & I can do myself. I used to come home to get the 1yr visa in my country for while until I used the lawyer due to the work permit so it was easy but as I hope to live back there permanently I will do myself as a retiree...
Oh lord, all the memories from CM immigration came flooding back. Torture, pure torture. The stress has given me uncontrollable muscle twitching over the years. Alcoholism tempting was it not for my supportive Thai partner. Congratulations, Ally 🎉Blue pens forever.
What a load of 'malarkey'! Get your papers printed out, letter from the bank then make an appointment online. The last two years have taken less than 20 minutes and absolutely painless. None of this queuing business you speak of at all. Hand the packet of papers with passport and money (1900 baht) to an IO outside in the form filling area then, after a fast review of the packet to insure things are there correctly, it's just follow the IO inside. Quickly fill out the two redundant forms and have a seat. Called to front up for a photo, sit and within moments the passport, with extension stamped in, is back and off you for for another year. Please note: NO agent involved. Easy-peasy as you Brits are wont to say.
@@GoodLifeinChiangMaiThailand Except during the period when the Immigration office to the Promenada Mall, I have never had to fuss around in the manner in which you complain. Get your paperwork in order, use the appointment system whenever possible. I'm actually amazed that you would waste time making this post without ascertaining what you needed and prepared well ahead of time. Better luck next year.
Hi. I'm married to a Thai national , and planning to come back to Thailand at the end of April, I have been in touch with an agent in pattaya. As I would like a retirement visa and that I need to leave my passport with imigration for 1 month..?
Seems agents have a variety of methods of processing for their clients, who know the correct way ? Good luck with your process, hope it works out for you 👍🥳
