@@ckishu01 Well, it’s more likely a little unusual than unpleasant :) It’s also interesting to know the reaction to the plot and to different locations and creatures - this is a really scary and beautiful game)

@ckishu01 if you do, small habitats are the way to go to keep your air reserves topped up, and remember to pack a decoy or two to keep the Sea Dragons occupied, as there is nothing worse than getting all that way only to be OHK'd before realising it was close enough to. I managed to do one run with one single --- base, a solar panel, a fabricator, a charging unit, a thermal reactor, and two decoys. I just broke down the base, sprint swimmed to my next destination, and rebuilt it with the most suitable energy source. It was surprisingly easy, with the only real danger being the Sea Dragons, that was real squeaky bum time. Unfortunately, there is no getting passed needing to build the Cyclops, but as long as you never drive the thing, it still counts as only swimming. Also, no Seaglide.

Biggest way I die in Hardcore is the stupid stinging jellyfish that are on the entrance of caves and stuff. I can never quite tell if the gap is big enough.

@@Freezorg-ze8nt don't forget being ganged up by Crash Fish. Those feckers can seriously go take a long swim off the edge of the Void.

@@ckishu01 do, but be warned once you've given it a go there is a good chance you'll find using vehicles after to be like cheating. I am experiencing much the same thing when it comes to repairing the Aurora, having done it without a Radiation Suit (you only need around 20 first aid kits) I can no longer bring myself to fabricating one when the time comes to do so in my subsequent runs. I currently have three Hardcore runs on the go, two of which are swim-only, with the third being a massive aquarium set-up, and I am seriously contemplating attempting a forth Hardcore run with no O2 tank, fins, or any of the protection suits. The idea being, I will build two small bases on the sea floor to keep my O2 levels topped up, breaking the furthest back down to build the next one needed. A proper minimalist swim-only run, fabricating only what I absolutely need to complete the game. I'll even be forgoing my beloved two pots of Marble Melons, forcing me to scavenge all food and water.

@@ckishu01 Best tip I can give you. Read that first entry called "Start here", build a scanner and scan / read everything. It'll make the game so much easier and more fun.
