@@rodrigoaldreteavila6408 Friends is not funny. We don’t talk about shit sitcoms in this households, we talk about good sitcoms, like The Office, or the first 3 seasons of Community.
I've started to appreciate things like that in voice-acting that are usually wayyyy understated/subtle in their delivery, yet require a *for-real* mastery of vocal manipulation & character realization. Like whenever a voiced character is portrayed doing a imitation/impression of some other well-known figure/character it absolutely blows my mind if it's conveyed properly (regardless of the comedic delivery/success).
@@Jeyshara I can believe it, esp. considering how much of a cultural behemoth anime is compared to here. I'm just glad English-language animation is fairly keen on maintaining consistent voice actors in various franchises as I can see how that easily could've been a practice that was cast aside in favor of the logistical ease and greater bargain of a constant voice actor turnover for specific roles.
@Tommy445 oof adds the commentary of the poster. It's a hard joke, so to speak, and the reader is expressing that said hard joke stood out to them. One comes to agree that sentiment, providing a shared bond between the commenter and the reader, increasining the magnitude of humor slightly. Any questions?
I love racial humour. Reminds me that there are other people like me who would much rather relax and have fun with our differences than get offended by them.
Right! It's so fucked up! But people are so sensitive these days. Here in Canada, most people don't care what color you are or religion you follow so long as you speak the same language. Lol. Language politics are like huge here.
Adam Lapidus i can make 8 verses to things black people invented as well? you wanna hear. "we gave you the pacemaker, the carbon filament of your light bulb, modern day gas mask, what about 3d that you pay 2 dollars extra for... lalalal
Vino sitas didn't Nintendo beat everyone to the punch in 3D technology? ever heard of the virtual boy. most people haven't because it was a colossal failure but it was decades a head of its time being the first VR headset.
Everyone to dumb to understand the point he knows it was brought to him by a white person. The thing is it's ironic that it showed because the black protagonist and how unsuccessful the show is
@@NikoPorter "White culture" isn't a thing. If you mean "imperialist culture" then yes, that is evil. If you mean "American culture" then i don't think American leftists think that.
Is it like Elizabeth Warren claiming to be Native American for having like a 1 drop of their blood? In actually, he's not since he's not actually a Griffin but a Mcfinnagan who's a native Irish in ireland.
Lol that’s good. Tbh I was avoiding this video for months because I thought the comments were going to be awful. I seen it on my recommendation today and just said screw it.
2:10 Jerome: “If anything that song has made me hate white people even more” Peter: “What about 8 more verses” It’s the little throwaway lines that allow me to still enjoy family guy from time to time
I always love watching the tiny expression changes. Like at 2:25, Pam's eyebrows and mouth turn in sadness, and same with Chris. Just a small detail lol
@@Mystrohan he actually sings on stage and has his own cover albums of HIMSELF doing Sinatra and other songs. He's a very good singer, his life isn't confined to Family Guy, he has other ventures, he loves Opera and Musicals and does his own music himself. AS SETH MACFARLANE.
Kirbystar64 No you just havent paid attention to the show that much... Peter-White guys doing stupid stuff(this does happen irl I WISH I WAS JOKING) Quagmire- sex jokes, manwhore, list goes on(also a common white guy thing but other races do their fair share of doing messed up stuff too.) Cleveland- How it is to be a nice black guy Joe- cripple jokes Brian- A dogs perspective Stewie- A Babies perspective The list goes on with jew jokes,racist/stereotype jokes, etc.
1:45 For a supposedly recent-ish episode I'm puzzled why they used fluorescent bulbs as a visual for the "energy efficient lights" part. They've been pretty outdated for about a decade, now it's all about LED lamps when it comes to energy efficiency and improved practicality.
Ahmed Khaled I mean with all the racial wars and George Floyd stuff that’s gone on this year I doubt this episode would be well-received by the majority nowadays.
Yeah saw that too. She was angry because she associated the "trap" in the cafe's name with black culture, despite the store having no relation to it. Just plain delousional, the one other black person in the store stood up to her and eventually got her to leave.
This is the only episode I can think of in which Peter was actually more logical than somebody else during a scene: Jerome: "Black people can't be racist. We can be way sexist, but we ain't racist." Peter: "Sure, black people can be racist."
@@bendover3653 There is an argument for that. It says black people can't be racist because racism is racial prejuices plus institutional power. That isn't saying anything, is just twisting the definition of racism to exclude some groups and include another groups according to agenda. It doesn't communicate information about reality, but about languge.
I think the weirdest thing is the comments that read like “i’m white and this is hilarious” or “i’m black and this is hilarious” Do we really have to specify who we are and whittle down to what race, creed, or sex we are to enjoy a joke, even if it’s praising it? I’m not saying you can’t say a joke is funny despite it poking at your race or your sex or anything like that-but it just feels… odd. it’s just a good joke, why does it have to be any more than that? Also the political discussions left and right-family guy never disappoints with the bullshit it can churn, and I love it. thanks for proving it people ;)
Jerome is not being racist. Racism is targeting a specific individual based on that specific what he is actually doing is stereotyping. People there is a difference
Cathryn Glee I don’t think you understand Jerome hates an entire group of people based on the actions a few members of that group have done against him. He’s racist plain and simple.
810DIckANus A lot of racism on both ends hrre smh. It's truly saddening that people can't just enjoy a catchy and satirical song without people in the comments talking about how much better white people are or about how all white people are inherently evil. Both are signatures of nothing but pure ignorance.
Wouldn’t even be released now a days people get offended by anything now a days not even cause there offended just for the attending world full of sensitive bitches
matt13r1 well people have known family guy for years, and they also know that they have done some pretty stupid stuff. so most people really would not be suprised
And Einstein and Stephen hawking and newton and ford and Disney and western civilisation and the creators of GOT and Rick and morty and the people who gave you family guy and bobs burgers and American dad and the Simpson’s and all the avengers movies and all the DC movies and avatar and avatar (the other one) I could go on
It's funny that Jerome is both sexist and rasist because the guy that voices him Kevin Michael Richardson is apparently a nice guy god he even voices alot of white characters as well as other African Americans or just characters with a deep voice
+thatkidddan Of course you think "this is funny" and *_"accurate"_* ... this is Anti-White. This is - technically - racist. It's funny, I agree, but _it is racist_ - if this were about Blacks, you would be crying like a bitch. ...and you say this video is "accurate"? What the fuck is *"accurate"* about this video!? It's satire. It's funny. It is *NOT* accurate.
99% of the people getting offended are offended by Jerome's attitude towards white people, which he clearly states when he is a guest in the home of a white family
@@marcgrocott9708 Yes, Chris being born. In an old episode Peter states that Lois' vag was so destroyed after Chris' birth that they had to make a new one.
@Liam Raynott in my opinion racist jokes are fine as long as their isn’t hatred. I don’t think Seth hates black peoples that’s why this song is not racist it’s a joke or a parody… jokes man.. jokes lol
@@emmaatieno7057 no it literally wasn’t invented by a black guy. Carver only invented the process to make it easier to make peanut butter. The actual product was a Canadian guy
It was actually Abigail Lincoln who invented it. Lincoln was going to use it to make white people see black people had a lot to offer. But he was killed before they could do it. Eventually, they gave it to George Washington Carver because he had found 300 uses for peanuts. Amazingly, mashing them up and eating them weren’t one of them.
@@senorswordfish6019 you know that's not true. They invented slavery, 2 major religions on the world, at least 30 deadliest diseases, trophy hunting, militia run governments, hakuna matata, and many more I can't think from the top of my head.
