Yep. Now, my childhood has almost been completely erased. All that's left is Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime VA). Once he's gone, the 3 men who made my childhood will be gone. Stan Lee, Stephen Hillenbourg and Peter Cullen. 2 down, 1 to go.
Hey, you wanna talk about lost artists that defined generations, try Prince, George Micheal, and Freddy Mercury. And it pushes you up to the end of the line when it happens. In this Life there is but one constant, everybody dies. Miss them, but Remember them in Joy....that's almost assuridly what they would want....and don't ever let a chance go by to tell the people you Love, that indeed you do.....
I think I could speak for all of us when I say: Thank you Stephen Hillenburg. Thank you for all the incredible work you’ve done over the past 2 decades. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the laughs. Thank you for bringing joy, laughter and inspiration to millions of people across the globe. Thank you for being a force that helped shape our childhoods. You’ve created one of the most hilarious, timeless, and impactful shows of all time and you will never be forgotten. May God rest your soul
Sorry I'm being really negative, but now, my childhood has almost been completely erased. All that's left is Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime VA). Once he's gone, the 3 men who made my childhood will be gone. Stan Lee, Stephen Hillenbourg and Peter Cullen. They are the 3 men who made my childhood.
F is for Friends Who Stay Close together U is for u and me N is anywhere at anytime at all down her in the big blue sea!! Rest in peace, Mr. Hillenberg.
As opposed to Butch Hartman's claims, this man made actually made our childhoods, without shameless self promotion or pushing an agenda. All he wanted to do was combine his 2 main passions, Marine Biology and Animation, into something unique and wonderful that both adults and children can enjoy. R.I.P May winged dolphins carry you to your final resting place
The Big Meme He tried to do a video platform like Netflix (Oaxis Entertaiment) by doing a Kickstarter, saying he would do the best series ever. And when he had the money he said that he wouldn't help young animators, that his content was going to be family friendly (No LGBT, christian content) and he doesn't want to return the money, and still he claims that he made our childhood. Also, he made fun of the suicide of a voice actress.
The most influential cartoon in my life. Its amazing how to this day I meet people in their 20s who still watch it or quote it. Hillenburg has been a crucial part on many cherished shows but Spongebob captivated an entire generation and more. May he rest in peace.
The marine biologist that struck gold when he created an absorbent, yellow and porous being whose show would captivate generation after generation! May he rest in peace! RIP Stephen Hillenburg
Reminded me of this one Spongebob episode were Squidward started to cry and there was a bowl of onions. Later, he made another fish cry with the same bowl XD IDK if this was intentional or not.
Even though I was never aloud to watch Sponge Bob and don’t care for it but I cannot deny the fact that he has left such an impact on the past generation and how much it inspired others
This man single handedly led the creation of modern internet culture. His show aired at the time when late millennials/zoomers were children, in which his show taught us to embrace our stereotypes and personalities that make us "weird". By the time we all grew up, the "weirdness" in us created the internet culture we have today. Not even in a thematic way has Stephen Hillenburg influenced our lives in such a profound way. God bless him.
Spongebob was my favorite show as a kid, watching it almost everyday before and after school. Stephen's creativity has made so many people happier, something that takes a very special person to do. We all love you Stephen, you will be missed but not forgotten. ❤
Spongebob is my childhood. When it 1st aired, I was 10. Now at 29, I still love the show and can laugh myself into tears from the moments and memories it has made. R.I.H Hillenburg ❤🙏
First Stefan Karl Stefansson, then Stan Lee and now Stephen Hillenburg. RIP Stephen Hillenburg you will be missed and thank you for creating one of my favorite cartoons of all time. 😢
Stan Lee and Stephen Hillenberg both created parts of my childhood. I loved Spider-Man, Hulk, and SpongeBob since I was a kid. Hillenberg and Lee (along with their characters) are legends who will live in our hearts till the end of time. #RIPStephenHillenberg #RIPStanLee
I too find his background very inspirational. I admire how because he was a marine teacher before becoming an animator, he was able to tell stories that make him stand out from other animators. What I also like about his show was that every character is normal. Nobody was trying to push an agenda or anything political. He was just creating something that can make everybody laugh based on his two passions: marine and animation. The Spongebob stories (at least in seasons 1-4) had a moral that is true and resonates with people. For example, there was an episode where Spongebob and Patrick learned (the hard way) that it's never okay to take something without buying (or borrow without permission), even if you plan on returning it. (Lucky for them, it was free balloon day, when they "borrowed" a balloon and accidentally broke it). It's a shame that Mr. Hillenburg passed away. I had no idea that he died until my brother told me! R.I.P. Stephen Hillenburg.
Thanks to Stephen Hillenburg, Spongebob Squarepants will always be known as one of the best cartoons ever made, along with Invader Zim, Danny Phantom, and My Life As A Teenage Robot. Can I get some F's, please.
What’s symbol. While Spongebob may have diminished over the years, the what episodes, and Willumbergs legacy will always live on. You and Ernest Borgnine are at least together now. Thank you man
Stephen Hillenburg’s work was an immense inspiration for my novels and for me to become the person I am today. One day I can hope to be at least half the man he is!
I mean, SpongeBob is probably the most famous cartoon of all time, maybe even the most famous TV show of all time. Pretty sure all those "Fortnite kids" know what this show is.
Roses are red Violets are blue I miss you ocean man And so do you too. Edit: R.I.P Stephen Hillenburg Have an awesome rest of your journey, in the sparkling ocean in heaven.
Gee, I guess he's really dead. He was very talented, and I always wanted to see him do another show just as good as spongebob. R.I.P. Stephen Hillenburg 1961-2018
Beautifully put. Between my grieving for the passing of one my favorite creators and my own struggles and insecurities as a young adult trying to find my place, I really needed this video now :,) RIP Stephen Hillenburg. Thanks for everything!
