I was going to tell her the same. Charles literally learned how to skin that stag before they shot that scene.

I learned to skin a deer at age 12. What kind of man gets to be that old without learning basic skills? Did he KILL the deer? I doubt it.

i loved tywin character in the books. loved the actor who played as him, he also was the leader in the underworld series, as well. hes lead countless victories both on the battlefield and in council meetings. i see where cersei gets her ambition from and her amputitude towards any she deems unworthy or is a far lesser benefits than her own. i dont like her personally however ive come to admire her zeal and she stands for. tywin comes from two houses but hopefully someone will clarify it better than i can(he has the very most tragic backstory out of all the lannister's hes the one i like the most)tywin is also the finest butcher in the seven kingdoms, its his natural skill by birthright(everyone has a skill natural, unnatural or both)tyrin his other son(well i dont wanna spoil anything but he's playing the game of thrones very well)

Yeah I was gonna say something similar. Cersei ripping the paper DOES show something. It shows how useless it ultimately is as his “shield”, and that she’d outmaneuvered him before he’d even walked in the room by buying off the City Watch through Littlefinger. Power resides where the people believe it does, and with rulers with the power to enforce it. “Law” only goes so far especially with how turbulent Westeros is after overthrowing the Targaryen dynasty that had been in power for nearly 3 centuries.

@@steelnation5110 Laws are enforced by whoever has the power to do so. It means there cannot be real laws above the enforcer the same way one cannot carry the elephant out of the room if it misbehaves. Armies could topple any regime anywhere if they wanted to. The reason they don't is that stable regimes give them a nice life in peace instead of possible death in unpleasant war. So when Ned decided that "it must be war because of some principle" the army told him to go visit a prison cell. This especially applies to the City Watch, a well paid, peace keeping force made of people with something to lose.

The idea of the perception of legitimacy and its cost is certainly one theme of the series. Cersei is not being arrogant, she acts in self-defence. The family of the toppled Mad King was slaughtered so she wisely assumes she risks the same fate and fights back with all she has. Doing this, she indirectly keeps the realm at peace when Ned Stark consciously decided to cause a war to start on the basis of an accusation that can never be proven. Ned Stark is the bad guy here but the writing is all designed to make the audience genuinely root for him. This is a clever trick.

@@Leo_ofRedKeep its so weird how Ned was willing to die for the truth. just man or not he walking into a no one win contest. everyone knows "victor's are not the strongest per-say, but moreso the unluckiest cause of alot of happenstance and stipulations that led to them where they are now or where they were than." it was smart for cersei to collab with littlefinger(he already has a small castle wife and son alongside prioratory stocks/trades and bonds that can land him anywhere in the seven kingdoms).. but what cersei messed up at was thinking she could get away with any of this underhanded threats and not suffer backlash "rather she cared or not" that woman was in a hornet's nest and it was growing faster than even what she imagined. what i mean by hornet's nest only 2 other kingdoms would have her back the other 4 kingdoms would battle her tooth and nails whatever the cost played out. but imma say this: if cersei had played the game better and not vex robert so much, he wouldnt be out in the slums/brothels every single night or weekend. your job is to play the game of thrones, got the nerve to talk about robert when shes kissing face with her brother not once but every minute she can. like woman, robert was too nice to her. and to be frank cersei was too nice to robert if shes as cutthroat as she claims to be. her job was to keep this guy happy, regardless of ned still thinking of his past lover or even speaking of her. this tells me cersei is very spoiled and is so used to getting her way,shell kill anyone to get on the throne. or present someone her throne lol..
