Winner of over 50 major awards including the Grammy Award and three Tony Awards®, WICKED is the untold story of the witches of Oz. Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
Declared “The Best Musical of the Decade” by Entertainment Weekly and “A Cultural Phenomenon” by Variety, WICKED is based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.

@materialkid No.. Just no- Honestly, even if you ignore the fact that Lea's a horrible person, her voice isn't really much of a good fit for the role. While she can hit the notes, her singing has a certain 'perfectness' and lack of actual emotion (in her voice, she just tends to overcompensate with her expressions) that just wouldn't really fit Elphaba. Lea's Defying Gravity just ain't it. I think Lindsay would do a great job but she'll probably be busy with broadway.

Fabulous. Just lost a coworker who was on the frontlines and 2 others in critical condition. I am sharing this in their honor. Great job ladies! I remember Lindsay from Glee, happy to see her in this role.

Oh my heart! My husband and I got engaged following a touring Wicked show in Minneapolis on May 11 2017, and we got to meet Ginna and the cast afterward, she was so bubbly and kind! We're both vet techs and considered essential workers, though I have taken voluntary furlough because our first baby is due May 13. Hearing Ginna was like being back at the show when we got engaged. Thank you!

17th of April in Victoria London I was to take my wife (Staff nurse in Glasgow royal) to see the show wicked for our 11th year anniversary. Sadly events in the world have changed and I will be soon starting my pre deployment to Afghanistan. I would like to thank the cast for the video. I have shared it with my wife. Hope all success when the norm returns. Soon. Can't wait to see the show

I love everything about Wicked but this is my favorite song. It has very personal meanings for me as I have lost a few friends and this expresses my feelings exactly. Thank you Wicked and New York! MSK saved my daughter’s life last year after no one else in the country would see her. We flew from the West Coast (where we’re now isolating) and just made it in time for her to go immediately into ICU. NYC medical personnel will always be in our prayers💕

Chills and tears!! Always one of my favorite songs from WICKED. Gets me everytime I hear it. Cannot wait to see Lindsay and Ginna Claire on that stage at the Gershwin when Broadway gets the GREEN light to come back and the world is healthy again. I applaud everyone at the Frontines doing their amazing duties and helping save the lives of so many people being effected by this ugly virus.

Thank you Ginna & Lindsay for your beautiful rendition of my fave song from my fave musical Wicked in honor of healthcare workers, like me (I’m a nurse). I’m also an inspiring singer, who sings at my job from time to time to patients & in front of co-workers. I envy you, Lindsay, because I dream of playing Elphaba in Wicked someday. I cried at the end of this video, when I saw my healthcare worker brothers & sisters applauding & cheering for each other. Plus the crowd applauded them, too. Also, you are so inspiring! You wanted to be Glinda as a child, and you got there through hard work and confidence. Oh my.... That made me cry. We had an elderly gentleman the other night in our urgent care center. He was the sickest person I'd ever saw, and I felt that any moment his wife would tell us that he stopped breathing. We told him that we were sending him on to the ER, and even though he had so little energy he was tremendously upset with us. He yelled and insisted that wasn't in his best interest and we should just give him a shot and let him go home. Finally he went over to the hospital ... and they saved his life. I hope if he someday thinks about it... he'll realize we were only trying to help.
