@@MakavelithePrince96 That's a pretty cool feeling anyway how would you feel about Roger Craig Smith who voiced Batman in Arkham Origins to take over as Batman because he would be my first choice to continue Kevin's legacy
We still have sucsessors. They will never be Kevin Conroy. But his Memory, will live on, his Legacy. Everyone after him will carry the torch, Live to honor his memory. I think Mr. Conroy would like that. Of course, I could be wrong.
@@armchaircoach He's grown. The Memory of that period is slowly becoming history. His accoomplishments in present time will slowly take priority, no doubt the next generation will view in a diffrent light.
@@Berd-Wasted. He's right, the character will never be the same. The successors will never be able to beat perfection. There isn't a single flaw in Conroys Batman. And even if someone were miraculously able to match Conroy, the supporting cast can't be replicated. You'll never again get a perfect Batman, perfect Joker, perfect Alfred, perfect Robin, perfect Gordon, perfect rest of the entire rogues gallery, etc. I'm sure people will try their best, but the unfortunate reality is that the best days of Batman are behind him.
its one of those corporate moves where if they wana hype up a female cast they gotta beat the smartest and strongest of the whole comic/character. Rocksteady felt the need to be politocally correct than being comically correct
@@ARTSONICFAN990 I'd hate to see it happening the same thing as with Harley. Arleen Sorkin was the one that made the whole character based on herself, her voice alone was so great. I've seen so many annoying imitators ruining the character. The role was solely for Arleen alone.
Even if Kevin is no longer with us he’s been immortalized by the animated series, the movies and the Arkham games. Thank you for being such a big part of my childhood Kevin. We’ll miss you Bats.
Precisely. When you think about what Batman sounds like? Kevin Conroy is the first voice you hear. Out of all the actors to voice him, he is the true voice of the Dark Knight
Rocksteady: “Thank you, Kevin.” Also Rocksteady: *Gives one huge “Fuck You” to Kevin and his final Arkham performance by having Harley Quinn anticlimactically blow Bats’ brains out of his skull*
It's as if Kevin was addressing us. To not be sad for his passing, but to keep moving forward with the memories he's given us as Batman. To be fearless, strong, and wise in our darkest moments.
Well, as great as he was as Batman, I do believe there will always be another one good enough to pass on the torch, there has to be. Just like Pattison was as great a Batman as Nolan was and everyone else before, there will always be another one to put on the cowl.
Every time I’ve ever read a Batman comic I always heard Kevin speaking as the dark knight. Rest In Peace man, you will always be a legend Edit: thank you all so much for the likes
Rest in peace to the man who single-handedly defined what Batman's voice sounded like for basically every comic-book fan. He might be gone physically, but the impact he left on the world of Batman as well as the wider DC universe will outlive all of us.🦇
Good news is that these aren't the rocksteady developers that built the Arkham Franchise, the old developers left and these are completely new developers who made Suicide Squad
It's not truly "Rocksteady", since none of the people who worked on the original Arkham games are there anymore, is only the "same studio" by name and nothing else
I agree that he was more than a voice actor. He didn’t just provide Batman with a voice, he gave the character a soul. When he did the voice of Bruce Wayne begging his parents to let him out of his vow to them in Mask of the Phantasm, Kevin Conroy is providing the voice, the emotional depths, the deep soul, and the very essence of the character.
@@gordon84016 it’s disgusting that there are RU-vid bots out there commanded to say that Kevin went to hell and they even made a video that Kevin was in hell I even tried to report it but the damn summit button was messed up.
He was vengeance. He was the knight. He was Batman. And he will Rest In Peace. Thank you for all the hard work and great acting you’ve given us over the years Conroy. You will be remembered.
The announcement today that he'll be voicing Batman one last time for the new Suicide Squad game broke me to tears... There hasn't been a single day since Kevin's passing that I haven't missed him... I cried the night of his passing, I cried the next morning, I cried while I was at work, I cried driving home, and I'm still crying now... I can't wait to hear his voice again one last time... you were my hero Kevin, rest easy legend 🦇🖤
And what a slap to the face it turned out to be. Why do people do this? Take every chance they can to piss on Batman and call him a billion things he isn’t? “Fascist, Psychopath, cause of mental issues.” Like… y’all gonna just glaze over the fact that his no-kill rule EXISTS so criminals get another chance? It’s a disservice to the rocksteady name and virtually every character involved.
@@MonsterfromHell2543 no one asked plus can you just keep it to yourself if you hate all these things some people are going through tough times right now because of kevin's death
R.I.P. to the legend, the man who’s voice I hear in my head whenever I read Batman comics. Kevin’s legacy lives on in his work. Gone but not forgotten.
Never been big on voice actors, but there’s something about Kevin’s portrayal of Batman that inspired me even when I was a kid watching the animated series and playing the Arkham games. We’ll always love you, Mr. Conroy. Rest in peace.
Thank you Kevin, for being the voice behind the mask, for bringing the character to life. Thank you, for being our Batman. Gotham will never be the same without you. Rest in peace.
Rocksteady was like "Well, we know that Kevin Conroy's Batman is universally loved and is the most Perfect Depiction in the history of anything, but what if we killed him in the stupidest and awful way possible, the fans will love it!" Rocksteady did to Batman what Ryan Johnson did to Luke Skywalker. 😪
i cannot express how much this man shaped my childhood. thank you so much kevin for doing so much for many communities and entertaining us all these years, you’re so awesome and we’ll never forget your wonderful performances
It’s rare to find someone who cares as much about their role as Kevin did. He was a man of the people, and the one true Dark Knight. Rest easy, Mr. Conroy.
This is probably one of the saddest deaths I’ve heard about. I’ve been playing and replaying the Arkham games for years and Kevin’s performance in each one was just phenomenal. Can’t believe it happened so suddenly. Rest in piece Kevin Conroy.
RIP Kevin conroy, his performance in the 1990 animated show was iconic and matched perfectly with the score and i probably wouldn’t have fallen in love with the character of Batman without him, and as I matured I played the Arkham games and was amazed to see him and mark hamill in there old roles again, they were able to slip right back in just like William Dafeo with green goblin in no way home, no matter what direction they went with Batman from a creepy action packed violent game to a still goatee kids animated show which I still enjoy watching today he fit the role perfectly, I can’t wait to see his last performance in the new suicide squad game, he to me was thee Batman the same way that Robert Downey JR is thee Ironman, it’s always the legends that die first, he was taken from us to soon and could off played Batman so many more times, being one of the last things that remind me of childhood bliss, this one really hurts on so many levels, as someone who knows the pain that cancer patients have to go through and as a fan of his work ever science I was four when I first watched the show in 2011 which was twelve years ago, he will be missed by all of us, we all him some much and the least I can say is thank you for being one of the voices of my childhood and many others like me. Rip Kevin Conroy you will be missed by all of us.
The only actor to ever equal Adam West himself. 93. Kevin was my Batman. 'As a child, I would watch your show with my father. You were my Hero.' 'Then it _wasn't_ all for nothing... /smiles warmly' Rip both legends. They are trading funny stories & having parties with everyone else in the Spirit World now.
He was an amazing VA for Batman. I really enjoyed the original batman animated series as a kid. When the Arkham games came out and he was voicing Batman again I was so stoked. It is a bummer that he is gone now. Thank you for the memories. You are the Batman!
He is vengeance. He is the night. He is the best Batman ever. Rest in peace, Kevin Conroy. Your legacy will live on through your incredible work and next generations will get to know you as the perfect rendition of the Dark Knight.
@@Warpminds Don’t give this guy attention. He’s just another random bot who keeps spamming the same ignorant comment just to annoy people. But I do agree with you, Kevin Conroy is highly the best voice actor who plays Batman. It’s has been a great time growing playing the Arkham games and watching the original Animated Series from the 90s. May his soul rest in peace.
@Audrey Jones what is wrong with you? do you have any respect for the celebrity who voiced the character for 30 years? you are so arrogant, disrespectful, hurtful ,and rude dishonoring is unacceptable Kevin voiced batman/Bruce Wayne that defined our childhood through adulthood honor his legacy, be respectful and age up because we're proud of kevin and we'll always will be
Let's not kid ourselves, Mr. Conroy is gone and there's no technology nor magic that can bring him back. He's a legend, a standard of voice acting, but Batman shouldn't be limited to him alone, others will take his place.
@@misskathgandaomsim325 Your right! Roger Craig Smith is a very good fit for batman now and I hope they cast him as the next batman voices WB plans on releasing. In Arkham Origins he did an incredible job as batman IMO. Kevin Conroy maybe the best batman to voice him but it shouldn’t only be towards him and give other voice actors more of the spotlight.
Kevin truly will be missed. Every time I hear Batman speaking in a video game or animated series it truly sounds dark yet magical. It will be difficult to move on to another Batman knowing it won't be Kevin who voices him... May his soul rest in peace
Kevin Conroy will always be the Batman of my childhood but I would be lying if I didn't say Troy Baker hasn't been doing a good job as Batman for the last few years.
There is a comic written by Kevin Conroy about this. He grew up gay in an extremely dysfunctional home and had to watch his family fall apart due to mental illnesses, and his friends disappear to the AIDS crisis. He always felt like he had to hide who he was in public due to his sexuality, and he rarely spoke much about his home life. He ended up being rejected from roles and being told that he’d never make it as a gay man, until he got offered the role as Batman. He wasn’t too familiar with the character and had it described to him by the producers. He started imagining himself in Bruce’s shoes, likening Crime Alley to how his own family fell apart one by one. He imagined himself in the dual identities, with how he had a public face and a private identities that only he and the people closest to him knew. The first time the iconic voice left his lungs, he said that yes… He could imagine himself in Batman’s situation. Absolutely a man who channeled his entire life into his performance. He’ll always be remembered as the template for Batman.
This hit way too hard for me. Kevin Conroy was my absolute favorite Batman and to so many others as well. Rest In Peace Mr. Conroy, you will forever be our Batman
@@nickxcore74 I know, man. Batman the animated series is my favorite cartoon growing up. I played the Batman Arkham games as well as the injustice games because Batman is my favorite hero. There will never be another one like Kevin Conroy.
First heard this voice when I was about 4 years old and it’s suck with me ever since. He was one of the nicest and most down to earth people I’ve ever met and I’m sad I won’t get to meet him again. RIP Kevin, thank you for defining an entire generations love for a fictional character. Forever The Batman ❤
Still can't believe the voice of batman is gone, and his last performance ended with batman getting his brains blown out by Harley Quinn, not cool Rocksteady, not call at all!
