I love this series, it is the last major Shounen manga that I got invested in. Funny enough, the hate it got made me re-analyze moments, which made me like it even more then on my initial read-through.
I genuinely think most of the people who hate the ending never liked the show in general. I see comments from people watching shorts about the manga and arguing with people when they haven't even read the manga. Anyway, good video.

Yes the show has had success, but that's not what matters to me. What matters to me is how the story affected me. At the end of the day who are you reading the story for. Yourself or to fit in with a group of people just because it's popular.

It wouldn't be one of the massive greats if it didn't have this much hate behind it. Sure you can have your criticisms about the writing and stuff but the impact it has had on people is very hard to match.

Like, if the guy doesn't fight or too scared to fight, but fights for only a certain reason. They will NOT fight. Take Izuku for example and WHY OFA NEEDED to go away. It's due to the fact that OFA was MEANT to fight AFO, and that reason alone
Im glad I found this channel. I love mha and am going to miss it. It's annoying that people keep misinterpreting the ending from memes, but again, i just might be one of those people who can't see that there jokes. I thought I would say i thought the ending was meh and could've been better, but I'm still grateful for looking into this series. Thank you, Horikoshi.
In the end Deku did achieved his dream of becoming a hero even though the ending isn't perfect at least he still achieved that dream and inspired soo many people including other heroes
I see a few more people starting to respect mha ending now, it's kinda immature but I felt personally attacked after reading that final chapter and hearing that people hated it but the more and more I found out why they hated it I kinda felt like people don't know how to read anymore most of the time the reasons won't even be valid and they won't even give good criticism of the ending. And this is one of the only times I actually took time to reanalyze a manga chapter I'm not saying I don't understand the manga I read I just like watching videos analyzing them but this time I kind of analyzed the chapter on my own after watching a few videos about it It was a great ending to me. Was it perfect? No, but it's definitely not as bad as people say and I think it's just people rebuttling information they got from people who misunderstood the ending we had an epilogue that led into a good ending I kind of wish the final chapter was a little bit longer. Maybe something like 30 pages so it could explain a little more but I still felt satisfied But then we have people ignoring The ending and trying to meme on it deku and his friends definitely did at least talk to each other in those 8 years especially since he had one last year of high school It would really be 7 years of not talking to each other if anything and people think it's bad that he became a teacher when he's really helping the newer generation It's not so bad being a teacher in Japan compared to places like America especially since he's teaching of one of the top schools in his country There's so much more I want to say but I'm typing for way too long.
Yes like teachers are more respected in Japan than in places like America or where I am in Nigeria which is more neutral. I did want it to be longer yeah but even with me graduating 2 years ago and the few people I still talk to, we barely talk, why because we all have our own lives, don't live beside each other or have to see or be reminded of each other 5 days a week with similar goals, giving up OFA, we all should've known that he would lose the ability made specifically for beating AFO, of course it wouldn't stay.
Like I said in the video, people only bother to hate what’s objectively great. People saw the chance to hate on the series and ran with it. It’ll pass as times goes on though and the ending will be looked at more fondly

MHA truly was special. After all it wouldn't get so much of the unnecessary hate if it wasn't that monumental and impactful. Only the greatests anime/manga stories get that much hate lol. Doesn't matter if you have problems with how the story went it changed me for the better and got me and many many people through some rough times in our lives. I am thankful for this series and the impact it had on me. Very very few other series have had this much impact on me.
I got back watching the show after I heard word that the manga ended. Season 7 is showing a lot of promise and so far I'm loving every single episode of it.
In my opinion, MHA is a really solid show with solid characters, and interesting storyline, great characters, and it has a very good amount of depth. To me it will forever be one of the greatest animes I have ever watched, it truly resonated with me, and only a few series have been able to do that. I was hooked on season 1, and my interest in it only grew further as I continued to watch it.
i really like a majorety of the main cast and the main villians becuse i see a bit of my self in the character's it made me love them even more becuse i could relate to them in some type of way like for instcence bakugo has a really short fuse when i was a kid i also a had a really short fuse i also make some jokes about the ending but it was just a meh for me not great not terrible
I must say that I initially hated the ending, but that was because I stopped caring around half a year ago. The fight took forever, I had the feeling that nothing was happening at all. I think it would help allot to reread a big part of it.
Gonna be honest mha is my favorite new gen anime and I will die on this hill. The ending imo was amazing and I’m not even kidding it was actually beautiful for me at least idk about other people who aren’t hating on it. It also has a huge impact on my gym life it’s the reason why during covid I started calisthenics and during 2023 that’s when I started going to the gym and a few months later I already had the deku physique. Mha is my inspiration to striving to achieve greater things so I’m honestly sad that it ended

"What got you into MHA?" All Might I had recently watched Batman V Superman and I hated it, with a passion. I am a Superman fan, I love classic Superman that stands for "Truth, Justice, and the American Way" and I lothe any deviation of that. I remember venting to my bro about how there was a gap in classic Superman hero depictions, I remember specifically stating, broad chest smiling saying something like "not today Luthor" after stopping some scheme. My bro said "you just described All Might from My Hero Academia" and showed me the USJ scene, I cried. Superman means a lot to me. My grandmother was a huge Superman fan and she raised me because my mother had better drugs to do. And she had died recently at the time and this character was basically the Superman I cherished, and reminded me of watching the Old Superman T.V. show with her before her sundown syndrome of dementia would make her forget nearly everything. I watched MHA for All Might and pretty much dropped it after United States of Smash. I kept up with the storyline to a small degree but I was concerned with all the death flags All Might was throwing up. I didn't care that he lost his powers because he was still All Might. And the Stain scene with All Might at the statue gave me the feelings but I decided that I wouldn't get back into it until the series was over because If All Might didn't see the ending, neither would I. I was never here for Deku, I was here for All Might because he reminded me of better days. He reminded me of spending time with my real mother which only after she passed on, did I realize how much of it I wasted.
I honestly loved the ending. I thought it was perfect. It’s sad that some people hate the ending and hate the finale act in general. Not everyone hates it. MHA is basically getting the bleach treatment. Hopefully, later down the line, people will look back on the series with a more open mind and look at it more fondly. Personally, I loved the series; it’s my favorite series, and I think it’s peak. I’ll forever be grateful to Horikoshi for writing this masterpiece.
So many people are hating it so much for no reason. To me, MHA has been perfect. But, I know that’s just my opinion, so I don’t want to push it on people but every where I fucking look is hate, hate, hate on the series and it’s seriously made me rethink everything until I realized that I was being peer pressured into thinking MHA wasn’t as great as I did. Rewatched the anime series and fell in love with it again. I love this anime no matter what, but it’s fine if people criticize it. I understand. I just… I just want to stop seeing constant hate against it non-stop, I can’t scroll through social media without hearing about how the ending is so disappointing. I was once anime only, but spoiler thumbnails and RU-vid shorts have spoiled me on everything, I know what’s gonna happen and the ending. I love the ending, but I can’t go one fucking day without seeing those memes and hate posts on social media day in and day out. It’s so tiring.

All this negativity can be exhausting, which is why it’s best to keep away from the threads that hate the series and focus on surrounding yourself with the group of people who go into the series with an open mind and genuinely love the series for what it is and think it’s great. This hate isn’t new; a lot of great series get hated on when they enter their finale stages. A reason for that is because people go into these finale stages with their own vision, and when the story deviates from that, they get pissed off. Another reason is because people just love to hate for the sake of hating, and to get attention, they think that hating on something popular is cool and would hate on it the first chance they get. It will pass with time, though, and eventually, just like with Bleach and Naruto, a lot of the people who switched up on MHA will start looking back on it with an open mind and think of it more fondly. The thing that should be most important to you is your thoughts. As long as you loved the series, then that’s all that matters to you. Don’t let other people's negativity sap away your enjoyment. Remember the reasons that made you fall in love with this series and take pride in them. (I should really listen to my own advice, lol, because even I sometimes let people’s negativity sour my mood. lol)

I think the themes of My Hero are obvious, thats why as upset as i am that Deku doesn't have OFA, i'm mature enough to accept that its never been about that. I will say Hirokoshi, probably without even realising set up such high expectations for peoples imagination to see Adult Deku using the quirk at 100% - OFA just seems so amazing it sucks the power is gone.

Apart from the mutant stuff I agree with everything you said, this I think it's mostly due to health issues. Horikoshi would have literally died if he continued the series with the same pace it had until Endeavour Agency, so he probably had to cut a lot of the story out in order to shorten it and not have to make half-assed and short arcs revolving around these developments
These are all fair and valid criticisms. I feel you could do this with just about any series though, especially the long running ones. Unless it’s series breaking, there’s always gonna be stuff you could point out like this. I’d rather focus on what made the series so special in the first place and celebrate it ending. Rather then focus on the negatives

I don't hate on the ending because of shippers or power scalers. I hate on it because after the vigilante arc, they dropped all the subplotlines. It's so small in comparison to the other legendary Shounen. The story takes place in about a year and a half and we never really get to see them grow up. There's amazing moments that more than stand alongside the legendary shounen, but it whimpers it's way to its finish because the mangaka obviously ran out of love and passion for it. I hate on the ending because it could've been so much more. They threw away the nuance and interesting concepts and just went the Demonslayer route of feeling toothless.

@@junglekxngtalksanime Demonslayer is just bad writing all around. When plot lines are dropped and the pacing skyrockets, all the writing in the world can't fix that. It's like if after Goku fought Vegeta, they skipped over everything and went straight to the Ginyu Force immediately.
Peoples main defense for the mishandling of MHA is " If you didn't like it you're probably a shipper". Honestly I not saying you aren't allowed to think it's was a good ending, you are entitled to your opinion. We cannot give awards out to something that tried...
