Absolutely amazing! I thought this was one of those "studio bands" which would be still impressive, but they managed to sound like this in almost raw production... Wow!
*Your complimentary "Lyrics" comment:* [Verse 1] You’re feeling like you’re going down You’re throwing in the towel, yeah, you’re through Don’t tell me how it’s going down, yeah So come on, a little closer I’ll take you from Burden Avenue And I won’t be your burden ever, no, no [Pre-Chorus 1] And so far, I can’t tell anything apart Where’s the love you’re after? (And so far, I can’t tell anything) [Chorus] Calling out your name I hear they only lay you down Do what you have to make it right, right Cause' I won’t be your holy roller Everywhere I go, it rains on me Carry on with your own life When I tell you you're the one, and you run like hell [Verse 2] You're feeling like you're going down Your sinking ship is big enough for two Tell me you're alone, I will be the one who's there for you So come on, a little closer I’ll take you from Burden Avenue And I won’t be your burden ever, no [Pre-Chorus 1] And so far, I can’t tell anything apart Where’s the love you’re after? (And so far, I can’t tell anything) [Chorus] Calling out your name I hear they only lay you down Do what you have to make it right, right Cause' I won’t be your holy roller Everywhere I go, it rains on me Carry on with your own life When I tell you you’re the one [Bridge 1] We're running out, we're running out of time We're running out We're run- we're running out of time We're run [Bridge 2] By the way, feed your horses And I’ll be sure to find the fire behind your eyes By the way, feed your horses, and my willingness to fight By the way, feed your horses, and I’ll be on your side [Breakdown] And I’ll tell you you’re the one who opened up my eyes And if you try again to love, then I’ll be on your side You'll never know, you'll never know You’ll never know if you don’t try You'll never know, you'll never know You’ll never know if you’re alive [Pre-Chorus 2] Calling out your name I run Calling out your name, I'm calling out your name Calling out your name [Chorus] Calling out your name I hear they only lay you down Do what you have to make it right, right Cause' I won’t be your holy roller Everywhere I go, it rains on me [Outro] And, oh, I’ll tell you you’re the one who’s opened up my eyes And I’ll show you all the things you bring into my life
The absolute, most musically genre song I've ever heard! In love! Added to the 0l Playlist at The Boutique in Mesa, AZ. Love the artistic background. Also. Feed the 🐎!
@@toreyjones5715 Performance is spot on, damn near perfect as far as I can tell actually, what you can hear of his voice is fantastic.. But yeah, they need to fire this audio engineer. He ruined this recording, it's not even just the vocals, it sounds like a heaping pile on of noise compared to the album. I get that this is anything but an easy genre to mix, but like fuck dude, at least study the music a bit so you know what it should sound like.
@@ossiehalvorson7702 I listened again and I think you're 100% right. It sounded off, and the vocals were a bit distorted, but after the second it's just the sheer amount of audio drowning out the edges of his vocals. It also doesn't help this is my favorite song of theirs so I was over-critical.
He sounds a bit like Michael Jackson. Which, in a prog-metal band, is as weirdly incongruous as having a horn section. Or, having a drummer who looked like Eilart Pilarm (The Swedish Elvis) when he joined the band, and like Carrie Brownstein when she left.
@@realtacobell They all jive together excellently in studio versions and I've heard live versions that are excellent too. One of the best active bands imo.
