Memory of Winston
Winston was a KING gorilla of San Diego past 30 years. He helps grew up many significant gorillas 🦍
He adapted Paul Donn who lost his father when he was 4. He is now silverback in San Diego Zoo. He also adapted Frank, Paul’s son.
He accepted Milt and Penny who were hand raised.
He also gives Jamani and Ajari family after their mother Ione died in young age.
I like to thank you San Diego Safari Park, all animal caretakers, volunteers, and veterinary.
I am grateful that Winston spent time with his family until end.

Wild born 1972
Grew up in England with 7 gorillas friends. Winston came to SD Safari Park when he was 12 years old. He took over Trib’s troop after he died, and Winston was 21 years old.

N'djia's had surgery on her left leg when she was 1, & 4 weeks after her check ups, her mother Kamilah had surgery & was away from mom for 9 days.
N'djia joined the Memba family, but did not get along well, and moved to her brother troops Paul Donn.
