What’s messed up is Japan has massive forests that they could put a sanctuary for these gorillas. They could set aside 10 acres or so fence and wall it in and let them run “free” so to speak. Not in these little enclosures.

The love they have for each other and the keepers ,yes it looks boring, I believe the being in the wild gives them a less time to live because of poaching,the gorillas we see have been saved at a young age or generations of these adorable folks , I call them folks because of are DNA being so close ❤️It’s like no worries just love ,smiles ,and disagreements but they never hold grudges,thank you all the keepers of these wonderful folks ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It sad to see no outside grass and trees nothing to climb the food was not hidden for them to find or placed in a hard place to get they need this to keep their mind safe This zoo is far from being OK for the apes No play ground no tall trees big tyres no thick ropes to swing on no bridges to cross no water to play in all these things they need or leave the in their jungle 😢

Why is it always the negative titles? I've noticed that lately, and its annoying. These titles breed ignorance for those who've never worked with western lowland gorillas. And unless a viewer can smell Shabani and Kiyo, Shabani is dung dropping as territorial marking, its hard to decipher their real intentions. I love Shabani family, but please do better with the titles.

I don’t understand all the Annie hate. Since she came into this troop she’s been trying to fit in with the others and just wanting their love. Kiyo has always been treated better by Nene & Ai, thank god for Shabani or Annie would have no one on her side. It seems like Kiyo views him going in/out of the door first as a hierarchy thing, Shabani needs to put a end to that immediately and be first himself or one of the females. Kiyo is so lucky to have a dad like Shabani, most silverbacks aren’t as loving and playful as he is.

In a few moments Kiyomasa will become silverback

once again, I look at the games and behavior of these magical animals, and I am amazed at how smart they are.

Hmmm so maybe Annie going after Kiyo was more than just thinking he was too rough with Shabani on the other video . Or is it Jealousy 🤔 . Shes testing Kiyo lately . Shes not scared of him at all . I wonder if thats cause she knows Shabani has her back or because they grew up playing together and Kiyo is so lenient with her during play . Maybe both . But the way Kiyo squeezed his way back up out that door to make a run for it 😂 I cannot . I can only laugh during rough times because our lovely videographers ease our worried little minds by time the video comes to an end . I don’t think that after living in a zoo ,they wouldn’t make it on their own ,If you take a baby and put it in the wild it would definitely not make it because the baby’s mom has never lived in the wild,they call this a vicious circle ,also they are all on the Endangered list mostly from humans,I believe they are healthy ,some have a couple of acres to roam ,some have smaller areas with a continuous way to climp and sleep,I understand what you mean ,🤙

Those enclosures are an embarrassment! They should have much more foliage and trees and grass to play in…what kind of Zoo treats creatures like this? NOT A CARING OR RESPONSIBLE ONE…or they would give these Gorillas more of a realistic environment! What a shame to treat our “other brothers” this way! That’s why they act out!!! This is animals abuse where is the humane society to to put an end this cruelty. Who ever running this facility are driving these animals up the walls.

This enclosure appears to be VERY GHETTO!!! 😡 Not even a PRETENSE at creating a “natural” environment for the gorillas. You know, TREES, GRASS, WATER FEATURES, Something!!!!
